Uh we scraped a win against the reigning premiers. 17th we did easily.
I wouldn't jump on the word easily too quickly mate. We dominated you in clearances and kicked appallingly in front of goal!

You didn't get within 2 goals after time on in the 2nd quarter.I wouldn't jump on the word easily too quickly mate. We dominated you in clearances and kicked appallingly in front of goal!
Gee the Tiger posters are up and about this week, must be buoyed by beating the bottom side.
Kind of funny. You would think Bombers fans, considering Essendon's track record, would not be so chirpy about their chances in late April/May.

Nah, Essendon did it easily. They were backing up with two days less break after beating the reigning premiers in a titanic battle.I wouldn't jump on the word easily too quickly mate. We dominated you in clearances and kicked appallingly in front of goal!

This game could be the closest the Carlton folk get to a win for a while though, so can kind of understand your exhuberance.
Richmond won't get far unless Reiwoldt matures from a show pony to a serious player. The List Manager himself says "[Richmond's] got a group there all in the right age bracket ready to challenge in the next few years."

Essendon need to win a final to be chirpy about anything. 11 years is very dismal. Most would be in agreement.Kind of funny. You would think Bombers fans, considering Essendon's track record, would not be so chirpy about their chances in late April/May.
He's played ruck at centre bounces this year - so plays pretty much just as tall as Steve Morris... Or not.185cms
Doesn't kick goals
Provides forward pressure
Sounds like Steve Morris. I would never call him a tall.

You had a better coach last year.Track record? We lost 3 out of 4 in April last year, we recovered and made the finals.
Even if Essendon fail to do anything this window I would still back them to do a mini rebuild and win a flag faster than Richmond or Carlton. Mainly because they draft better than those other teams outside of the first round: Hooker(pick 54) Gleeson(53) Merrett(26) Carlisle(24) Zaharakis(23) Hibberd(PSD) Crameri(RD) Baguley(RD) etc.

Lucky Carlton dont have goal kickers, they out played you in most areas and yet again Essendon had a poor finish to the game you cant keep blaming the pre season for those late game fade outs they are bacoming an Essendon trade mark.Haha Essendon didn't get out of second gear all day,got smashed in the clearances and still beat Carlton easily.

The players have said a few times they don't want to use the lack of pre season as an excuse any more. imo I saw signs last week that these fade outs are coming to an end.
