With the current rules our investment isn't worth it.

I am not having a go as I think what you say is correct, however this is totally missing the point.

Surely the academy is about bringing kids into the game.

Wyndham is potentially a gold mine of athletic types without any AFL background and the pay off could be great but the primary purpose should be growing the game, even if it is just getting us fans and potential members.

Lot of synergies with wyndham. For example with the lack of parking round arden st the wyndham lads can commute in on their ktm250s

If you go back further, you are talking Cyril Rioli, Shaun and Peter Burgoyne, Jed Anderson, Steven and Daniel Motlop, Clarke brothers, Richard Tambling, Tippa, Davey brothers etc

There’s been a big drop off in the standard of NT prospects over the last 5-10 years.
The AFL’s proposal is certainly a reasonable one.

We are going to need to get some help funding it though.

Interesting situation when you consider what Clarko has gone through too. Wonder if that has played a part in this.
I think it’s exciting for us, but not keen on us playing 4 games up there. Gunna depend what that breakdown ends up being.
