Perhaps a bit unusual for me to be defending our next door neighbor, but the jury is out on this. I have on authority direct from the hierarchy that this is untrue. If anyone has evidence to say otherwise, I'll believe it when I see it.
I would have thought that the footy club and cricket club would have seperate licences so not sure how it would cease from December 1?

Official statement: the club wishes to advise in sundry that as of the 1st December the club will hand back its liquor licence. The club needs everyone's support through this tough time as the financial ramifications will be significant. Support the club that supports you.

I've actually got screenshots of the text.
All I'm saying is as of yesterday, the Mont Pres was saying it's BS and they have had no communication with Liquor Licensing at any stage. I find it strange he would say that if there is potentially 100's of people out there with an official txt message saying otherwise. If it's true and it's been made common knowledge via messaging players, officials and supporters, why categorically deny it?

No need, a quick google search "liquor licence search Victoria" tells the story. cricket and footy club have separate licences for 6 months of the year. Both have 5 star ratings and no demerit points. Based on that, only way Mont has no licence is if THEY choose not to renew it.Perhaps DB can help us out by copy and pasting the alleged txt msg up for us
