Some real grown up behaviour on this forum the past few days lol. Doggies obviously up and about, good on them!
With everything that has been said about the doggies over the last week or so on here, its time to acknowledge the season they are having.
To make the finals first season in Division 1 would be an amazing effort.

Yep 100% agree. Been alot better then i thought and all credit too them. In saying that they were on maximum points last week and Hogan is due back this week who is a 6 pointer. Which means if he plays they cant field there best side, because they are going to have to drop players with decent points. I dont think thats ideal when pushing for a finals spot

What’s interesting about it? The bloke has missed a month of football? Given the form line of the dogs, any bloke that hasn’t played for a month would return via the twos except if your a star.
Unfortunately these days there is a sense of entitlement that every player is owed something from their club. It’s an honour to play and earn your spot, nothing is certain, a lot of blokes forget this these days.
Earning his spot back given his report and their form line is the right way to go about it. Results showing they don’t depend on him, whilst no doubt has ability to be in best 22, the dogs look to be getting the job done.

Considering hes been one of Norths better players when hes played this year and they are pushing for a finals spot against another contender, id say yeh its pretty interesting. And when hes back next week, which high end recruit is going to make way for him to fit in with points? Harvey, Hunt, Baddeley-Kelly? i wouldnt think so. So yeh its interesting!
Clearly those three you mentioned are well ahead of Hogan in the pecking order so someone has to miss.
Not an ideal situation but just reality.
Would obviously be playing if Liam Hunt hadn't joined late but no way would he be picked over him.
Seem to be going ok without him anyway.

Yeh i agree with you, those 3 are well ahead of him. But im sure hes better then 10+ other players playing, which makes it as you said not ideal!

That sums it up nicely. It’s not a points issue he is playing 2s purely he has had time off self imposed, the side is winning with next to no injuries & his form has been below what he is capable of & he is the first to admit that.
End of story.

Don't understand the issue. If he plays they find a way to make the points fit. Same as any other club. Way doggies are playing there would appear to be no issue with any players being unhappy.

I understand the points system. I don't see why it's such a big issue for you. They will pick their best 22 who fit under the points. If he is included he is and someone else or a couple of players won't be. Just like any other club.

Big issue???? Thats the first post i have mentioned it. I just asked a question for an opinion as to who you think he will replace.

The issue is if plays and the club is at max points you have to drop someone on same points or more to fit him in. You can’t drop 1 pointer or 3 pointer because his points would put you over. Unless you think they’re going that well they can drop 2-3 players for him and play with a 2 man bench.

You can not play with a two man bench. You have to nominate the minimum 22 players when lodging the team on Sportstg system
