Noticed in an article in today’s Herald-Sun that North Heidelberg made a payment to Coburg clearing Liam Hunt to them. Question ? Does this come under the Salary Cap or have North Heidelberg exposed a loophole ? Surely this needs to be declared.
Underbelly been declared in case it was questioned at the yearly Audit that can clubs can expect from this season. Take it to the bank.

Massive game for Montmorency and Bundoora this. Are the Bulls really on there way back? A loss this week would nearly end there year. And if Mont win a top 3 finish is not out of the question, but a loss puts then back in the pack!

Believe they have declared... and the issue isn’t over from all reports regarding a VFL club holding a community club liable for payment for player release back to his home club, regardless if its his first year at North Heidelberg is a blight on AFLVIC allowing it, even more interesting the NFL not protecting its clubs from higher authorities given this the tick.

Not a good look and interesting to see how it all plays out
Good call champ, local clubs get nothing when their players sign with VFL clubs, so why should they pay to get them back. Local clubs work damn hard to raise funds to operate, why should we have to feather the nests of VFL clubs.

Half way mark . Time to review the final ladder prediction.
Macleod Playing well enough to finish on top
Nth Park With Close and Starsevich in the side a real threat
West Preston Consitent
Bundoora Look to be getting back to full strength. Stil havent played hurstdridge
Mont Should win enough games at home to sneak in
Greensborough Just holding on
Heidelberg Maximum points every week struggling with little scope for improvement
Nth heid Playing better but relying on 2 harveysfor goals
Hurstbridge
Whittlsea

I don't quite agree with a couple of your points there. Hberg beat WPL 2 weeks ago, so if they are struggling I don't think they would have beaten the consistent WPL. Also, there was something like 7 u19s playing, so there is scope for improvement. Monty are missing their skipper and have beaten the 2 cellar dwellers plus the consistent WPL, other than that have been found wanting against the top ranked teams (and the resurgent Bundoora last week). As usual this time of year Mac are flying and are the out and out favourites to win the flag, when the whips are cracking, we will see if they can handle that tag.

Thats not good, was a really good competitor. Leaves a massive hole now for Macleod. What do they do with no other ruckmen on there list?
Play Langford as the main ruckman, it actually might help them to have someone who covers more ground at Cramer because against 2 superior rucks in the past 2 grannys their ruck situation has cost them IMO

Cant see Whittlesea getting off the bottom of the ladder. One game and about 20% behind Hurstbridge so basically 2 games. Hurstbridge have been more competitive lately than Whittlesea and more likely to sneak a win in the 2nd half. Whittlesea haven't been competitive for about 5 or 6 rounds.

Has anyone ever seen a ladder where second and eighth are seperated by one game at this stage of season? Obviously a bit of percentage involved but still throws up plenty of possibilities in the run home.

Unbelievable how close the ladder is, going to be a great run home where just the one slip up will cost teams.

Excellent for the competition that we have a Div 1 like this.

Couldn't imagine why they would play a meaningless rep game in the middle of the season with some sides losing their best players.
With the competition so even it's fixturing at it's worst.

Brilliant win by North Heidelberg today! And a few teams getting a tad nervous Bundoora May have hit there straps. Next week will tell us if they have!

Hit their straps alright. Defeat NP thirds by 10 goals, seconds by 32 goals and ones by 17 goals. For a club knocking on the door of finals in two of their three sides, that’s an appalling day out. Obviously some massive problems with their two’s being so ordinary thus not contributing to club depth, but pretty embarrassing regardless.

Was a great win by Nth. Have come along in leaps and bounds.
Shane Harvey proved a few armchair critics wrong with 7 goals.

Richo, couldn’t make today but have heard possibly Saad infringing the North runner? Surely massive loss and contributed to the loss but may make West Preston run next few weeks bit tougher?

Yes Saad was red carded after an altercation with the Nth runner.
Considering he kicked 9 last time, it was a massive loss for West Preston.
I didn't actually see the incident so hard to tell if it was even a red card offence.

Just saw the incident. Could be in for a little holiday I think.

got 2 weeks as the set penalty. Will sway my selection to Bundoora this week now based on this. With the ladder so tight, no one can afford to have indiscretions such as this. Undisciplined and only hurting his teams chances of making finals
