All teams struggle to make the transition to Div 1. Macleod is the only team to successfully do it in the last 10 years. LP avoided relegation for a few seasons but wasn't able to build further on that.

If NH go up, they will find it tough again. Boomer and Shane will have their moments of brilliance but won't shine as bright because NH won't win as much of the ball. They can't do it on their own and NH will be limited to recruiting within the player points. This applies to all teams.

I agree that most teams that come up end up inevitably back down. But I saw many years when north were no good in division 1 and Shane was still destroying his direct opponent and making NFL Division 1 rep sides. I'm sure Brent will be the same.

What a round of footy. Creek and Stars upset and North held on a ripping game against Lower.
Lower were the better team I thought for most of the game. North's ability to throw Lonergan forward the difference with a couple of late goals.

I think the physicality of the game between NH and FS last week affected both teams this week.

Thomo well done, opening the door to get those 3 wins they spoke about and now jump to third!

The good teams find a way to win even when they aren't at their best.

Honestly though, how does thomo beat DC. Haven't looked like touching the top 4 teams. Make a public statement about winning 3 out of the next 5. Which are against DC 1st, North 2nd, Fitzroy 3rd and lower.

Talking about backing up your words, we're thomo that much better or were DC off?

Thomo backed up their talk no doubt and played the game how they wanted too, fair to say Creek were very flat and could not get their game going at all, but if the oppositions attitude and desire is better than yours you are going to struggle.

An agreement has been made between DC , Old Paradians and AFL VIC till the end of the home and away season that because DC U19s having very good numbers and players are missing out on a game each week the players that are not selected at DC U19s have the option if they wish to go play with OP who are struggling for players. A win for both clubs and players I think as everyone keeps getting a game of footy. Due to Epping forfeiting on the weekend DC had 6 players go and play for OP and those players will now be back playing at DC this week. Hope that clears everything up.
