Thomastown official had a rough day at the office (fact). With the amount of kids around fortunately no injuries as they were at both ends of the ground waiting for S.Harvey's ton.

Very dangerous and miracle no one was hurt. As you said lots of kids down that end at the time. Needs to be held accountable.

Comp BnF
1st- Flynn
2nd- Brent Harvey
3rd- Shane Harvey

Thoughts?

Dont really take these comp b and f's too seriously since Jeff Ryan of Nth dominated a season a few years back and didn't win.
Nth players will take a lot of votes off each other but both Harveys have dominated as has Jess Tardio who always flys under the radar.

May as well cancel the GF. First has given second 2 flogging in a row. I might go and watch some EFL or country footy instead.

Yes just like last year.
Nope, nothing like last year.

Last year Hurstbridge were clearly the best side for atleast half the year. This year north has been from start to finish.

Last year's semi final win was nowhere as conclusive, this year it was.

Hurstbridge had beaten North twice from memory. This year, today would be the fourth time north had beaten diamo.

Finally, last year there was only 1 Harvey. This year there is 3.

So what your saying is because we have three Harveys we are unbeatable.

Two one sided contests over the weekend which was disappointing. The Stars just don't seem to have the want or desire to progress from just being a participant in finals. Perhaps Diamo just put the cue in the rack a little over the past 2 weeks, anticipating always having to enter the GF via a prelim anyway. The Prelim should be a bit of an arm wrestle I'd imagine with Diamo having the wood over Lower during home and away, but Lower being close enough to possibly win all of those 3 encounters. I'll sit on the fence and say 50/50 with a margin under 10 points.

I have a different view to most about the Creek v North game. I thought Creek were well in the game up until halfway through the 3rd, that's when North kicked another goal before the ball going back to the middle. It certainly kick started North into another gear and then 4 in 5 minutes into the breeze (which had dropped off a bit by then) meant what happened the next 25 minutes was irrelevant. Scoring shots and margin would say that Diamo can't turn that around IF they get another chance but IMO for 80 odd minutes there was nothing in the game. In regards to North, thought they looked much more dangerous when Shane played up the ground, Gilbert looked like he was going to kick 12 early doors and then they stopped kicking it in his direction.

Agreed. Was watching the game and a free kick after a goal to nth which gifted them another goal immediately after in front of goal half way through the third was the turning point.
Diamo lost their captain before the game, if they get him back this week which I'm hearing they should plus another couple, it should strengthen their chances against lower

Late Mail & Heavy Hitter no point playing 80 mins fact is Creek were outclassed from midway through the third quarter. If Dimo had their time again the resting of players in the last round was a disaster which I know many within the club were against particularly having not defeated North during the year & walking off on their home deck with their arses kicked was embarrassing. Yes I know not all were rested as there were a few back from injury but really it achieved nothing on Saturday as North was the side running the game out.

By the way the free kick immediately after a North goal described by HH as a turning point was warranted, just ask the player who copped a few cheap ones & a headbutt to go with it. Unlike other clubs however we won't squeal about the incident & let our football do the talking we hope in a fortnight.

I was commenting on the game in isolation, not what happened 2 weeks ago. I wasn't supporting either side, first time I'd seen either of them play this year, was stating that i don't think the margin was a true reflection of the contest. No disputing North were deserving winners and as i said earlier, found another gear when they needed one. Just think if they meet again it won't be a walk in the park like some suggested. It will be a moot point if they can't beat Lower. A LP v NH gf might be a bit more interesting for spectators after the fallout between the 2 clubs recently.

Agree that the free kick was warranted, really poor discipline by #2 who had a bad ten minutes.

Also noticed how much of a grub boomer is. Came off in the last when the game was done and dusted. I was directly in front and boomer before he walked to the bench turned to the diamo bench and started mouthing off saying they are a shit and embarrassed themselves. Completely unwarranted and not needed. The crowd around was so shocked no one even said anything back

Mmmm....perhaps you should ask the Diamo coach for some answers as to why Boomer would say such a thing.

My guess is when a senior coach acts the way he did last week, it tends to create a negative reflection on the club he coaches.

The club staff and volunteers I'm sure are great people but while diamo is lead by such a person the club will remain an irrelevant mediocre embarrassment.

If you cannot say anything constructive (instead of saying a pile of shit) go write to your mum.

My comments while negative are still constructive. Get rid of that roach of a coach and club will be much better off. How is that not constructive?
