I heard at least 5 maybe 6 Bundoora reserve’s players will go to Lalor next year now Lance is locked in.????
Interesting in 2 ways. Lalor surely improve?
Bundoora Reserves stocks????
Having forfeited reserves and 19's this year, where are the Bulls getting players from next year??
Looking at the weekends game, appears a few kids back up and played both Friday and Saturday in the 19's and ressies - So they're really just hanging on at the moment trying to avoid forfeits.

Does anyone actually believe North will beat Month @ Mont or the Bundoora will lose to West Preston @ Bundoora?
North could beat Mont I reckon.

Apart from immediate family, I doubt many if any will go to Lalor.

I watched Gary closely during his time at Macleod and it was amazing to watch him take a very average division one side to become a dominant one for about four seasons with limited big name recruits.
The whole club improved as well with I think all three sides finishing top in 2017.
A lack of quality rucks were the cause of the 2017 and 2018 losses with Dennis and Kovacic dominating and winning the BOG medal, in both games the margins were close so not out coached IMO.
Good job getting there, but 1 from 4 GF’s was an underachievement. From what I saw he was out coached. You know the oppositions strengths and weaknesses before you go into the game and you hatch a plan.

How they lost in 2018 to West Preston after being hot favourites I’ll never know.

How do you rate Chopper ?

That's why it was a huge loss for North. Could have 100% beaten Montmorency, especially if Mont rested players for the first final the following week, knowing they can't move on the ladder.

Means nothing now if Bundoora win there last 2

I’ll always respect that Mac were so good over that stretch without a big chequebook or ex AFL names to get there

6 blokes at training and just lost by 300 points. Must be offering them a fortune to even consider that.

Does Bundoora even have any decent players in their reserves

No way this is true. There's 2s are horrible. I'm sure Lance will have a few players. But it's a big big job.

I’d probably have to say he’s out of his depth with some shortcomings. But Ramsay won something like one Div 1 flag in 10 years or so, so based on that you’d have to say Ryan has got quite a few more opportunities to be as equally successful, wouldn’t you?! 🤓

There's a difference between being a good coach and having a good list. Interesting who people think have been the best coaches over time.
Robbie maiorna is a brilliant coach from what I've heard. Neil Connell was a great coach and moved on to have a great career at North Melbourne.

Go and stand at the footy with Gary Massey for an hour. He will tell you he's the greatest coach ever in the DVFL/AFL/VFL.

No he's a good man Gary and still talks about the old footy. Hates the new footy haha

Coached an U9 basketball team to an undefeated season once. Does that impress you Thunder?

Didn’t know you had to have elite credentials to have an opinion on this forum.
Don The Sash team tattoos 🤣

My opinion is that I don’t think you have any elite credentials or any credentials to comment about coaching.

The guy is well respected, I think his record at Macleod is one that gives him a lot of credits. 4 grand finals with one flag is more than what many thought of the list they had. Made a good side very good and made them believe that they could compete.

I have no doubt he would have loved another flag or two but not many have his overall record

But like you said, it’s a forum and opinions based so you call it as you see

Yeh I agree. They were in contention for 4 years. 2 of those years another team were red hot favourites. So to win 1 is still a great effort. His credentials compared to alot of the other Div 1 coaches now is pretty damn good.

nosecondprize and most likely did it on a much smaller budget then the Bundoora, Heidelberg and West Preston’s of that time

100% definitely Bundoora and Heidelberg. He did get lucky with such a talented junior group coming through all at the same time. But you still have to develop and coach them. Can't think of many players they would have gone out and brought.

Surely, his son heads to Lalor, and I wouldn't be surprised if a few Doggies reserve players head to the bloods as well. If I were Lance, I'd be having a little whisper in the ear of Shane Harvey.

Ramma was more than a good coach at Macleod. He was very tactical, changed the game style and developed the kids to made them compete in D1 for a sustained period. Once the players bought into the plan, the belief that they could actually win a flag was evident. We knew we didn't have a gun Ruckman, but Longy was lion hearted, gave his all competed very well against the best.
Ramma made the club unified, got very involved in the club socially and earned respect from the day he walked in the door to even this day. His communication was immaculate with players of all standards, the supporters, the club slawarts and the committee.
I'm not sure why you are dissing his achievements, but I thought I would give you a broader insight into what he brings to the table other than his coaching credentials
Great fit for Whittlesea

I'm not sure Lance would think its in his sons best interest to go to the worst team in DIV. 3 whether he is the coach or not.

Wouldn't imagine any Dogs 2nds players heading there ,and more chance of Shane Harvey playing at the Kangas again than going to Lalor.
