The best Oval in the competition is the division 3 club Mernda Football Club unfortunately the Northern Football League won't play finals there due to the public being able 2 to enter without paying to get in
In all fairness most grounds have been mud pits this season

Good for any club time to share it around every year Whittlesea and Epping get the finals

Yes great ground, but that’s all it has going for it. Not sure who designed those rooms, but it’s one of the worst set ups going around. Could never play finals there, even if it was fenced of with those garbage facilities!

Garbage facilities my arse the rooms are huge when the roller doors go up. Yes agreed the design of the social rooms are shithouse but the club rooms are massive.

Yes I believe they should be shared round but I say bring back the good old days of Divy 1 finals at Epping, Sneaking in through the cemetery with a esky full of piss ready for a huge day on the cans watching Robbo go at it with the Amad brothers and watching KB getting man handled by Pierre'. Those were the days

Will be the first finals series without Bundoora in 21 years. What an effort to have such sustained success. I’m sure they will bounce back again next year!

Agree it's a fantastic effort but paying overs for recruits and having no real junior club that they've put much effort into might have finally caught up to them. Credit to them for getting flags to show for it but heard from people who should know that they are cast.

How do you know what they are paying players? Pretty sure they have put a fair bit of time into a couple of junior clubs. I’d say it’s an even better effort considering the don’t have juniors. And I guarantee they will bounce back next year. Always rumours going around. Absolute garbage what you are saying

I have no idea the individual contracts but if you plan to pay 250k and you knew you only have access to 190k (hypothetical figures) then you've paid overs I'd think.
Glad all is well, assume sending unsolicited emails through a 3rd party asking for donations and/or to buy 5 or 10 year memberships points to the fact they're flying

Yep Bundoora are stuffed. May fold after this year I reckon 👍

I’ve heard their salary cap is absolutely stuffed and it’s a bit of a crisis at the moment with the major sponsor pulling the pin and no player getting paid for the rest of the season. Could be just typical rumours though, pretty surprised always of the opinion Bundoora is a well oiled machine.

Yeh all rumours. Players are getting paid. A fair few players clubs struggling this year with the ridiculous fixture the NFNL has

NFNL need to have a hard look at their U19 and womens league next year. When the U19s are only playing half of their games before the senior sides its a big hit on not only their income but also memberships. Family and friends of U19 players aren't going to watch them, then drive to another ground to watch the seniors. There is less support for the U19 players too, because the seniors can't watch them and senior teams playing on the same day at different grounds.
With this points system supposedly in to encourage having U19s the fixture is counter productive to this.

Spot on this. Really liked the grading process and the way that a struggling team can go down a division even if it’s not in their division and it willing to give them a year to have some teething issues but it simply cannot happen next season and beyond.

how even 1 afl game is played on some of these grounds is beyond me. the state of them during/after rain is appalling. playing curtain raisers?? Hmmm

Based on ground availability,
This definitely does work having teams graded but it’s not good revenue for clubs
Their is always a possibility of moving all games to Friday night,

400 Senior games for Daniel Keenan.
An outstanding achievement, don't think we'll see such durability again for a long time.

Incredible effort... Absolute champion of the league. The Bridge’s have been very fortunate to have someone of his calibre leading the youth.

Interesting..
Gary Moorecroft scheduled to play at an essendon legends game sat night at 5:30. Not playing for Bundoora I assume??

The league scheduling of the under 19's fixture reaches a ridiculous level when this week Greensborough seniors are playing at lower plenty and their first division under 19 side is fixtured to play before them against Bundoora at Lower plenty ground (greensborough home game ) !!! and their under 19 division 2 side is fixtured to play lower Plenty at Greensborough !!!!!! :drunk:

What was wrong with 1 home and 1 away game on alternately weeks? Not like the grounds are being used for anything else on a Saturday. Div 1 teans with 19s should get priority and have there 19s play before them, as they have the largest salary cap to spend. The league has stuffed up badly this year and needs a complete overhaul. This includes the women’s comp. who cares if there is 2 SVU sides in division 1? Bad year for the NFNL

Totally agree, but NOT ONCE do they come out and make a statement or back their decision. Whenever issues are bougt up I'm sure the reply will be ....Read rule etc etc. The are just an arrogant mob who couldnt give a s*** about problems they have. Im sure back in the day there would have been monthly meetings with the Presidents of every club and the league but I dare say this ouldnt happen now as they know all. Bad bad year Agreed.

Mernda vs Laurimar senior and reserves are at Mernda this week. Under 19s Mernda vs Laurimar are at Laurimar WTF.
