Montmorency would be spewing. Unfortunately that’s the way the cookie crumbles. Would have been nice for the league to leave a week or 2 but I suppose would only create a mess if to matches were missed and all couldn’t be rescheduled

AFLW 2024 - Round 9 - Indigenous Round - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Can’t see this just being a 1 Round problem. I reckon there will be an extension on Friday and even if the restrictions are eased, I believe they will be eased slightly, which would still I mean no footy next week
I think it’s more likely that playing will resume after the long weekend break
Impossible to stop crowds in competitions without fencing. Probably get more people in if AFL goes interstate. The major issue IF the season recommences is how do clubs pay players when their income from crowds is potentially reduced by up to 75%.
Most clubs would be enjoying the reduced salary cap but this would be heavy blow to their bottom line.
Correct. The season simply can’t go ahead if they say no crowds, no functions, no social rooms. Can’t pay players with no incomeImpossible to stop crowds in competitions without fencing. Probably get more people in if AFL goes interstate.
Here we go again!!
There is going to be no footy for a fair while. They just stated that even after another 7 days they will only ease the settings slightly, which means no way any league can play

There has to be some sort riptide adjustments made across all divisions. Div 3 alone has some serious integrity issues with some teams now scheduled to play some teams 3 times and other teams just the once. With the long weekend next weekend hopefully a review of all fixtures and we kick on again 19 or 26 Jun. I think a rejig is necessary, I am not saying it would be an easy job but with percentage possibly meaning the difference between finals, finals position or relegation a unbiased view that teams have had a better go by missing out on a few teams or playing them more than others should be looked at as a possibility. Also with the revenue of missing a home game Clubs would want any unfairness evened up.
There was 'unfairness' in the fixturing prior to COVID ie: When and where you played sides and at what frequency etc I highly doubt that leagues will do anything other than recommence the current fixture when we are allowed to play again and no points or percentage is issued for cancelled gamesWith the long weekend next weekend hopefully a review of all fixtures and we kick on again 19 or 26 Jun. Any attempts to re-fixture would open up a huge can of worms
Well, sadly another weekend without NFNL football, so being bored during lockdown I thought I would have a look at number of players who have played seniors this year and then how many of these players have played every game.
Greensborough 32 players 9 players have played every game.
Let’s just hope we get back out playing after Queens birthday, if not I have genuine fears for the season due to the potential restriction settings that will be placed on crowds and avenues to clubs will have to make $
West Preston 33 players 10 players have played every game.
North Heidelberg 29 players 15 players have played every game.
Heidelberg 34 players 11 players have played every game
Bundoora 32 players 14 have played every game.
Montmorency 38 players 9 players have played every game.
Hurstbridge 29 players 14 players have played every game
Macleod 34 players 10 players have played every game
Whittlesea 32 players 9 players have played every game
Northcote Park 34 players 8 players have played every game.
Nth Heidelberg, Bundoora and Hurstbridge by those stats have had the most settled side during the first part of the season.
Montmorency have used the most players with 38 and Nth Heid and Hurstbridge the least with 29
Interestingly Greensborough have only been able to have 9 players play every game, same as Monty and Whittlesea. Northcote Park is the least with 8 players who have played every game.
Hopefully this break will enable clubs to get players back from injury and refresh those who might have been carrying some niggles.
Anyone, remember to look out for your mates during this lockdown and hopefully we are back at the footy sooner rather than later.
If you are still bored, any way of seeing how many debutants each club has had, as in first senior games in their careers? Would be interesting to see who has blooded the most this season.Well, sadly another weekend without NFNL football, so being bored during lockdown I thought I would have a look at number of players who have played seniors this year and then how many of these players have played every game.

Must be a researchers fee there somewhere surely!!Working on this for you mate, GameDay stats make it a bit difficult as you have some players that have played senior footy at other clubs but debut for their new Division 1 club.
Maybe if I had of done it, the Herald Sun would have used it in there article as well
