Thought the NFNL website was broken.

Dark day for Lower. Will need some serious changes to bounce back in D3 or D2 if they somehow stay. Dare say they’ll be begging Chopper to come with the cheque book.

The side they are fielding at the moment won’t be making finals in division 3. They are in serious trouble, will be after a new coach & no money to recruit.

Chopper would be there only saviour but I doubt he will do it. They’ve only got themselves to blame for the mess their in.

Love to see Craig McCrae even win a game with that team they have available.

Chopper still is the major sponsor in a way as his brothers business took over from Marbuilt. That’s worked so well.

The bright side for Lower is there are 3 Research boys in the Knights program - The reality is these boys will not play Division 3 football if thats where Lower ends up.
Even if Lower beats Epping the result may well come down to % at year end - I think everyone has their money on Epping to stay in Div 2.
As has been said here before you reap what you sow and there will be very few tears if Lower drops to DIV 3 - They have the perfect ground & facilities for DIV 3 football

Morang getting their players back from overseas anytime soon? They play Diamo and Eltham in the next 10 days. They lose both of them and the finals race becomes very interesting.

What players are overseas? How many?

I don’t think anyone would expect them to beat Eltham or Diamo tho, but Watsy away after Northcote at home to follow and then Panton round 17 are big games. Win one of them and they probably seal finals with them winning again against Lower final day you’d think..

Yep the 40 metre walk will be devastating! Ground is actually ok and was ticked off by council for play on Tuesday. PH apparently inspected ground themselves and brought up concerns with NFNL on Wednesday. Ground inspected again on Thursday and we were given the option of playing and risking more damage (rain predicted Sat), or staying off and guaranteeing last two home games.

Personally I think PH thought they may get an extra home game out of it.

Round 13 tips

Northcote Park 5th vs St Marys 4th. Massive game for both clubs this week. The cougars were very disappointing last week with only Clark receiving any coaches votes. For St Marys they are riding a wave of confidence in winning their last 4 out of 5 games. Green and Antypas lead the way last week and will look to move closer to their first division 2 senior final. St Marys by 14 points

Watsonia 8th vs Thomastown 6th Another huge game for both sides who currently sit 4 and 2 points behind Northcote Park who are 5th. A Thomastown win and a Northcote Park loss will see the Bears move into 5th spot. They will need a bigger effort than last week where they went down by 55 points to Eltham. 2 of the hardest sides to get a read on. I think Thomastown get the points and end finals hops of the Saints. Thomastown by 27 points

Eltham 2nd vs Epping 9th. The panthers had their biggest win since round 5 with Donaldson getting the maximum coach’s votes. Bongetti is back this week which will only strengthen their forward line. For Epping they were competitive against Sth Morang last week and will loom for another competitive effort this week. Eltham at home though will be far to good. Eltham by 83 points

Sth Morang 3rd vs Diamond Creek 1st. The lions got the job down last week and get some reinforcements this week with T Hall, Kalpakis, Lazaric and Muscat all returning. They will need them against a Diamond Creek team who kept Lower Plenty to 1 point last week. Pingree with maximum coaches votes however he is missing this week. At home the Lions will fancy their chances of an upset but Diamond Creek too strong across the park. Diamond creek by 23 points

Lower Plenty 10th vs Panton hill 7th. A dark day last week for the Bears who could only muster a total score of 0-2-2 across reserves and senior teams against Diamond Creek. They now face a Panton Hill team coming of their best win of the season in beating Northcote Park. There will be plenty of spice in this game as a number of players play against their old side. Too much at stake for Panton a hill, redbacks by 49 points

Relegation battle got a bit more interesting.

PH beat Diamond Creek and lose to Lower who lost to DC by 150 points.

Obviously 3 knights kids make a huge difference.

PH, well big let down with their big off season.

I suspect DC will be welcoming the challenge of facing PH fresh off that loss.
It is an interesting battle from 3 to 8 this season.

All just a rumour at the moment any truth to it?

Wouldn't surprise me, not the first time Gary has made threats to go someone's house this year after a game.
