Sneaky way of saying we aren’t increasing affiliation fees but we are. With 80 plus players on most lists for clubs with 19s that’s an extra $2500 worth of fees. Almost a 10% increase there without actually admitting it. Womens for a squad of 30 that’s an extra $900 in the leagues pockets with their affiliation fees around $6000. 15% increase.

VAFA has been doing it for a few years - charging per player admin fee - as have some other comps recently. It might have more to do with all comps paying for PlayHQ than anything else I would speculate.

That said, I would imagine any club has the ability to ask about it and what it exactly pays for as part of AGM's or communication with the H/O or Board? But way above my pay grade Les and not sure if there is much that can be done about it.

I think Eltham people have more of an obsession than I do. Every time I talk to them they are mentioning him and how pissed off they are because he promised to come back a play for them prior to taking the Turtles gig. The Eltham member and Turtles parent who mentioned it thought a third of the salary cap was a large investment for Div 3 club. Obviously you set a high bar, so can’t wait to see what you have to offer for the remainder of the off season

Absolute laughable.

Genuinely loved at Eltham due to being a ripping bloke, yep, I am sure they would love him back but there were never promises and I can assure you all wish him the best, always welcome at Panther Place. To be honest I think many Panthers stick up for him as smearing his name with crap is pitiful and is called out.

The kids write up says his family live locally so he clearly has a reason to play for the said country club..
