salary cap is irrelevant , everyone knows that..
Whatever points are across all comps is ok too 40 - 42 ..
But I think if it’s decided to give ‘struggling’ clubs extra points 2 or 3 it’s for 1 year only…
Can’t happen again for 5yrs..
With The condition being whoever comes in on 3+ points signs for 2 years.
This may stop the list turnover & provide a bit of short term stability .
The 3 pointer in year 2 is a 2 pointer etc ( so extra points won’t be needed again)..
This will make clubs accountable for their recruitment & the players they sign commited & are NO chance of a clearance year 2..
If you wanna take it further , I think it would be great for stability - there are no 1 year contracts , all are 2+ , then clubs have an option of releasing player , but the player has no option..
