Mernda, of all teams, had the sh*&ts about an incident during the game? Mernda who has a history of belting players off the ball and a list of suspensions longer than your arm? Mernda who were targeting a Turtles player off the ball and trying to belt him and rough him up in the same game?

With majority of people on here seeming to have the same view on the mernda footy club, it makes me wonder, would Mernda agree with this perception of them and they just don’t care? Or are they completely oblivious and would think they are a classy and well run team from top to bottom, with strong values and culture who are a respectful club and gracious in defeat?? Be interested to know

Walked off the ground straight after Fletcher spoke after their GF loss last year. Didn’t stick around for the Laurimar coaches speech or the presentations. That says it all.

Turtles have a history of throwing blokes from oppo teams under the bus. Wouldn’t surprise if there was a few teams that would be enthusiastic about returning the favour.

Sleeman is the best at throwing oppo under the bus, any club thinking it aint going to happen to them are dreaming.

It's a sh!thole, but any of the remaining 7 clubs that have to play there, word of advice, inspect the ground on the wed before yr game & if you're concerned about the ground report to the league otherwise theyll f@k you over cause they're not going to shut down the Club of the year from 2023. league will give you nothing. Word has it multiple clubs complained about that surface last yr.

Looking forward to a massive game at Ivanhoe Park on Saturday night against our old rivals Parade. They looked very good round 1 with some bloke called Gilmore taking the p155

It's our first HOME game in the NFNL and welcome everyone down for a look to enjoy the night with the bar open, food truck and some live after match entertainment.

Just checked the NFL site for tribunal details - The NFL are up to date as usual with September 2023 tribunal results the last posted results!!!
They are soooooo understaffed they cant be posting tribunal results for the NFL clubs & supporters LOL - Same as last year
They are a rabble the NFL, so short staffed that clubs probably wont receive any fines this year - no one to do it - too short staffed HAHAHAH

Just checked the NFL site for tribunal details - The NFL are up to date as usual with September 2023 tribunal results the last posted results!!!
They are soooooo understaffed they cant be posting tribunal results for the NFL clubs & supporters LOL - Same as last year

Rabble is being nice.

They do not care about the general punters that have an interest, we are not paying for their long lunches and extra shot soy lattes they take 45 minutes to walk over to the Uni to get.

But be assured, fines are coming, something has to pay for these lunches and lattes.

They watch this forum and actually laugh.

Unfortunately you are right - Their wages are paid by the clubs & the clubs are run by volunteers most of whom dont have the business savy to band a heap of disgruntled clubs together and hold these clowns accountable for their performance - Check out the board members and you will gain further insight as to why there is no accountability

Ironically after Ivanhoe lost a GF in the 80s that ended that way in the crowd that day brought on that ban on alcohol.

Watching this unfold as everyone else is and listening to a few rumours outside this forum re the game - Got to ask, was a Mernda player badly injured from an incident and that is what has the Mernda club up in arms?

If (and I am only going on what I am told) they did lodge a complaint and in that they said the player was concussed and then the NFNL MRP said (like we all probably saw if we looked at the vision) that it was just a football incident and then they played the lad, this could be something that could come back on both the Club and the League. If anyone was there did he play on after the incident? I have no idea.

However, this is only if anyone stated it or he actually was, for what it's worth I was informed that concussion was mentioned but again, just talk so unverifiable.
