exactly. I think most of us have grinned and copped it that 6.50 is the norm now, but 8.50 is pushing the friendship

Agree. Think you need to get the balance right on revenue generation v supporting local football followers v supporting responsible drinking culture. By that I mean don't push the prices up to a level that it creates other issues
a) Lower sales
b) Binge drinking before match at local pub/bowls club.

The proof will be in the numbers, but if the number of units sold over the finals drops significantly then the NFNL has done itself and its football community a disservice. But if people drink anyway - char ching $$$$ - and it will keep going up until the supply v demand trend alters.

Good summation.
I believe the the 17.50 charge will keep hundreds away for all games other than the grand final

agree wholeheartedly. the overwhelming majority of footy fans enjoy a drink. Pricing beers to limit drinking won’t reducing drinking it’ll just stop people from going to games.

Great work by old Paradians to make the grand final in their first year in NFNL
Sets up a massive grand final against the Stars
Stars definitely favorites bur any tho g can happen in a grand final
Where to now though for Mernda. Great depth with reserves in grand final but some of them may go looking for more senior opportunities
Let's hope next week we get a good day, the wind can bugger off.
Do the NFNL need to look at 6-6-6 rule, Essendon league use it? Something to think about

From all reports of people at the game Sam Gilmore in doubt for next week with leather poisoning 👑

OP's must have played some great footy throughout the day - congratulations to everyone involved at the club. It's a massive effort to step into the NFNL and make the GF. Well done! 👍 👍👍

Cracking game awaits next week for sure!

Well done Ops, nfnl got their desired outcome today, after last week didn't want Epping after fans abused the incompetence of the nfnl to the nfnl special people. They wanted Mernda out and 1 of their new poster child's in. Got want they wanted. Good luck to teams next week, nfnl, sorry state of a football league. Forgotten that they're supposed to be here for the club's, not the club's here for nfnl egos. Heard league ops manager quitting after this year, shouldn't of started.

Amazing first year for OP in the NFNL, have picked up a superstar in Gilmore and a few other players but have come from what’s really Div 5 VAFA where they didn’t even make finals last season!

Have a cry lesbian. Glad 45% of the leagues coaches voted Mernda as flag favourites. At least you called the year one earlier this year

I was thinking the same thing when the final siren sounded today…”gee whiz. How good were the NFNL when they kept Mernda to zero goals in the first quarter with the wind”…and “the NFNL were so good today when they kicked 10 goals to 1 in the second quarter”.

I love it when Mappa is up and about 😝

Enjoy the week mate, you guys have thoroughly earned your place via a very consistent 1st year in the comp. Well played 👍
