Opinion Who is the best young gun... Daicos, Green, Gulden, Rowell or Walsh?

Odd... Walsh was rated as the 2nd best player in the comp by his peers in 2021...
And 4th in the Brownlow, and 6th in the Coaches Award.

Do you honestly think he was spoken about at the same level as Bontempelli and Oliver at that stage, in the same way Daicos has been spoken about in the top 2 players in the comp (with Bontempelli) over the past 2 years?

Do you honestly think a contest shirking half back flanker is the 2nd best player in the competition?

Like the great minds of Tom Morris, Cam Luke, Jon Ralph, Jobe Watson, Kelli Underwood and BT? Collectively have the IQ of a toasted sandwich
Amongst everyone else who watches, talks about or writes about the game.

Like it or not, he and Bont are currently the clear best two players in the game, and he has been since mid last year.

Currently:

1) Harry Sheezel
2) Errol Gulden
3) Nick Daicos
4) Sam Walsh
5) Tom Green

Can’t understand the utter contempt you people have for Caleb Serong.
He’ll give the bloody Brownlow a shake this year.

I posted a few weeks back Caleb had just notched up 42 consecutive games of 24 disposals, third highest in history. The very next game he had 23 disposals.
Yesterday against Melbourne Serong had 36 disposals and 7 clearances with 8 score involvements plus 1 goal.
The kid is an absolute gun and strong leader.
As a pure inside mid they are hard earned and vastly different to your HBF’s.

Daicos is quite easily the objectively correct answer, the best start to a career weve ever seen. Sheezels is putting together an exceptional season himself and would probably be getting more plaudits if he played for the pies/blues etc. but the eye test would still have me picking daicos, his run and carry and the way he takes on the game has been brilliant to watch for such a young player. does get a bit of a ride from the umps though ill pay that.

Daicos
Sheez
Gulden
Serong
Walsh

Not sure why Fadge laughing at suggestion Gulden ahead of Daicos
Errol is a brilliant player
Gulden is everything you want in an ideal centreman/winger who is young. Super young.

He hasn’t got the weight and upper torso strength and legs of steel yet…but he can run all day like a gazelle without blowing hard and getting zapped ..and is always attacking the football and delivers by foot with power and precision.

Nicky ..by contrast…avoids all contact and believes his value is in receiving and distributing the ball as quickly as he can before he gets hit.

I’d take 5 Guldens over 5 Nickys..any day of the week.
