Maybe, most coaches reckon the prelims are harder to win. Anyway, I don't even remember whatever handball they are talking about with Naicos . Can't have been up there the toe poke no one talks about the handball for folklore purposes. Must only be collingwood folk

Prelims harder to win? Not touching that one

See post 579 for the handball

Had Daicos polled in some of his clear BoG games he also would have won with missing said games. He had 2x 40 disp games for zip for starters, also kicking goals in both.
The winner on the other hand had some very questionable votes awarded.

More whataboutisms

Sure Fyfe missed votes too then

True but it's a big deal to do great things in a GF, winning moments, it is the hardest game of the year

Jezza's mark gave Carlton belief when they looked absolutely cooked

I refer you to the Dusty real GOAT thread.

According to certain Collingwood and Geelong posters 3 out of 3 BOG's in Grand Finals is no biggy, anyone who was lucky enough to play a certain role in those games could do it. :tearsofjoy:

Anyway come and see us if after Daycare's 3rd Grand Final the 3 opposition teams have outscored him by 8 goals or less. So far Daicos has played 1 and been outscored by 12 goals. :)

Well, they're harder to win if you are a collingwood supporter you've lost 27 of them so fully understand.
They are pretty easy from a Carlton point of view. Generally when we there, we win them
When Elvis recorded a song, it usually went to #1. Long time ago, though.

I will say, Nicky is projecting to be an elite player of the competition over his career

But not in GOAT status until he wins more contested ball and shows more courage to put his body on the line

Think of the likely GOAT candidates, they all had the above attributes
You do realise that he was our leading contested ball winner in the GF by a fair margin?????????????????

Yeah, I can see why the deaf, dumb and blind would have missed that handball. That makes sense.

Probably more to the point, we were blessed having witnessed Diesel doing miraculous handballs every week, and those moments came and went. We certainly don't kick back and Jiz over one solitary incident that occurred because he may have done once, what diesel did a thousand times before him

I call BS - I never saw Diesel airborne throughout his entire career (though he was the best exponent of the handball I have ever seen).

It's quite extraordinary we're now witnessing a player with the handballing skill/vision of Greg Williams, the kicking skill/vision of Darren Jarman and ability to cover the ground like Robert Harvey.

Wowee.

Diesel was the best handballer I've seen pre-Daicos but he yeah never got more than one inch off the ground

The Daicos handball was a new level of skill under extreme pressure

Keep it in your pants please.
2 of those mentioned kicked 5 in a grand final as well.
Your little friend has a lot of ground to make up

Are you seriously suggesting that Nick Daicos is the best exponent of the handball since Diesel , and had taken the craft to a higher skill level since the great man retired ? Man o man
