Fadge still leaning on #whataboutisms

Leading this and that award, injuries, etc, etc

Facts are, Nicki is fast becoming a selfish stat padder, and not even the best young player in the competition

Must say though, haven't laughed so hard since the failed probability and math ineptness

I’m just wrapped Lynch was the better forward than your mate Curnow in 2022

So since Neale was a “surprise Brownlow winner” Brownlow medals are flawed in determining the best player or the season?

Yet you want to use that same award to justify Nicks claim to potentially be the goat?

But if the votes awarded to Neale can be through a flawed process does that not mean Nicks awarded votes could be just as flawed?
This is why you have to consider the complete data set. Votes in all the key individual awards are a good starting point, and when you have a player leading ALL of them, AND selected as starting rover in the All-Australian side AND playing two very good to great finals that culminate in a premiership for his team, I can't see anyone who performed better.

Nor has anyone else made a rational case for someone who has performed better in 2023 in this thread...

So the best player of any season isn’t the winner of any of the actual awards it’s whoever averages the highest amounts across the major awards for that season? But we can only count games played and not games missed?

What are the major awards we are including in this analysis?

Just tell me who was better than Daicos, when taking all the data into account, and why?

Go.

Not player ratings, because Prince Nick was not rated in the top dozen players in the AFL based on AVERAGE performance.

Why can’t you answer my question?

So if a guy actually won all the major awards in one season could we conclusively say in that that particular season the player who achieved that milestone had the greatest season of all time?

Surely if a player achieved such a feet they would need to be in contention for goat status?

Yep, conclusive Player Ratings...

Where 3 of the top 5 players in the league played for a team that didn't qualify for finals...
So none of Abletts seasons at the Gold Coast can be used as evidence in an argument of him being the goat?

Won't answer your question, due to not having a viable deflection

The ratings are unbiased and just award points for certain valuable actions within a match. There is no good reason 3 of the 5 highest accumulators of ratings points could not come from a team who missed finals. Especially where that team performed on average just 13 points per match below the Premier - who had the highest percentage.

The guys that actually won the awards I would say

Being fit enough to play is also a factor that needs to be taken into account is it not?

Or can we say Rowells first season was better than Daicos because he was leading the individual awards before he got injured?

& every award was it?

Including the Coleman medal and the most courageous?
You're so right. Rowell is the GOAT. He was leading the Brownlow till he got injured in 2020!!
GOAT

GOAT
We need to really contact afl house and get Rowell his Brownlow and Lynch is Colman

Bontempelli, Butters, Petracca and Curnow had better 2023s than Nicki Flaicos
Na sorry mate
Not enough votes by ave across all the major awards

I can’t tell you what awards exactly
But trust me it’s all the MAJOR ones

If I didn't hurt my knees when I was 16 I would of won a Brownlow too, get me one.
I could have been the GOAT!
What year was it?

the least we could do is start a thread asking the question that Supersuns was in contention to be the Goat in x year

Im just happy that I can conclusively say that Tom Lynch was the best key forward of the 2022

He was leading the Colman and played 3 less games than the actual winner therefore he was the best forward

You would agree Fadge?

No one can agree as Lynch played three fewer games than the person who won the Coleman, not three less games than the person who won the Coleman :p

Nice shadow edit.

So Daicos didn’t win any awards last season?
Nor is he conclusively the best player of the year last year?
He didn't even win best finals player.
