We took many steps back today.

It’s not our dung hill. It’s a shit hole that I can’t wait for the club to be out of.

We haven’t played the ground well for a long time.

Today’s loss will have no lasting impact. It was a game we lost through epic stupidity. If Clarkson can’t use that game as a prime example of being the better side and throwing it away, then he isn’t much of a coach.

There’s a difference between being beaten and beating yourself. Today was the later.

The key word is that we lost, we lost through stupidity and brain fades, not because we were beaten by West Coast.

If West Coast came out and win because they played better footy then get worried.

Im worried because we keep making stupid mistakes, but let’s be honest a lot of those are coming from players that will not drive this club forward.

I hope this loss really stings them, because they just lost when they were clearly the better side.

Gosh who knows….that’s a distinct possibility at the moment.
Any point going nuts…..nope..am l annoyed….yep.
So lve seen this story on repeat many times this season….and l try not to let my emotions explode.
However this time ..lm not sure how l feel.
My wish and l could be dreaming, Is it’s time for the club to have some hard truth conversations with some of our senior players. We simply cannot afford to accept the same mistakes time and time again that happen too regularly.
If that means hooroo then so be it.. Change of captains / leadership if needed do it. Be bold be ambitious in this off-season. Of course continue add to the best available youngsters but please look at drafting in campaigners who hate to loose…that will provide the support in these key moments that we keep falling down in. No more rinse repeat cycles…and please don’t bring in seniors that are solely banged up and looking to extend their career / pay packets…
Not an easy fix but l don’t want us to waste the talented youngsters that we are assembling.
Oh and whilst we are at creating a wish list please can we iron out junktime goals…..it’s a trait l want to see banished once and for all. I want ruthless North.
This off-season just became very interesting to see if we are going to make changes to take that next step…pie in sky stuff l don’t know…just my rambling.
Guess we will see which way go at seasons end with training and trading …meanwhile l think a need take a break and enjoy the small stuff after that frustrating afternoon. Be kind …it’s almost done.

Clarko is almost 2 years into his 5 year deal.
The ladder suggests zero improvement in that time. And his game-day coaching has been underwhelming to say the least. I am so intrigued as to whether he has an almighty rabbit to pull out of the hat over the next 3 years, or will we still be in this position in 12-24 months being told to "be patient" as we set the bar lower and lower, accepting a competitive half here and there as a raging success confirming we are "on the right track"?
