Yeah, na. I suppose we all have to start somewhere but as someone who works in Collingwood you can almost smell the footy history off the streets. A lot of it's gone but it's still there somewhere. It was a grittier and shittier suburb than the 'Scray. The Pies built a brand, they've had clever marketing since back in the day, but they grew out of an actual suburban football club.

We laughed at them for years for melting under pressure. They're not melting tonight. No Ward, Coniglio, Whitfield, Patton, Deledio or Grubby and Davis injured. Magnificent effort.

True, but this also an argument to support just how unfairly gifted this plastic franchise has been. They've haemorrhaged first round draft picks to other clubs, and have several more missing from today's game. And yet more just step up. Like a production line.
