There was never going to be a situation that Port were going to gain 11% on us before this game on the proviso that we win one more game then them, if we were to have exactly the same amount of wins (with exactly one more win, our percentage for the rest of the season would logically be higher anyway). Their percentage is also irrelavent.

We're talking situations where we would win by 1 point and lose by 60, and they would win by 60 points and lose by 1 to make it even close. The fact that they're dropping percentage or losing by 10 goals instead of losing by 3 goals or whatever is basically relevant, except for the fact we're leaning that they're a bad team and could lose games to teams on the bottom of the ladder.

If anything it's far more likely that either Brisbane or us do draw one more game and then percentage does come into it, than Port's percentage being relevant to us - both are highly unlikely, but there's a chance Brisbane could still leap us on percentage with that other draw.

Maybe, maybe not. I feel like there is still a few athlete first guys doing decent things at the moment. Amartey fresh off 9 being one of them.

It's a good result for us - we're a better chance to finish above Port than Brisbane. Sydney, Carlton and Brisbane are probably the best 3 teams so hope they keep winning and we can try to gain ground on all the others.
