Victoria are following the stupid national directive that you have to be in a home to be a close contact so other players won't have to isolate. Until they get it.

There shouldn’t be close contacts now.
Stay home if unwell and get tested.

Salem to have surgery on knee, but has avoided major ligament damage.

Hang on, shouldn't the AFL have the same rules across all states.
If one state, ie us, has close contact rules with iso, shouldn't that be applied across all 18 teams?

Can't wait to be in Melbourne next weekend for our game against the Pies and not have to worry about putting on a mask for the 5 minutes I'm lining up to get into the MCG and take my seat.
Hmmmm I thought there were whispers about Port players having Covid but still nothing, wonder when they leave for Brisbane? Surely if some of them didn't rock up to the airport you'd know they weren't playing

To be fair, the Vic clubs had a few extra conditions around hubs that the AFL didn’t impose on the non Vic clubs to even it up.
