Some odd choices there.

For Freo surely Morobito.

And Sam Ried for Sydney... Didnt he win a flag and play close to 200 games lol
Would imagine it's Venables?

But argument for Nic Nat, basically had 4 seasons of what should have been his prime derailed by his knees, while also having most of his career impacted by his shoulders limiting his ability to overhead mark.

Same goes for Daniel Kerr, in 05 (Cousins) and 06 (Goodes) he had the best Brownlow votes per game, but missed games, 07 he had second best per game, but missed 5 games that could have made up the difference. Then basically had 4 years where was breaking down constantly as a result of being double and triple teamed. Only played 220 career games.

If his body had been more resilient, could have been a dual Brownlow medallist, played ~300 games, and been seen at the same level of Judd/Cousins

Played with him as a teenager. Super talent and ripping fella

It's still Sampi easily for me
Upgrade Hansen/Lynch with Brad Smith (and a little more club discipline) and we win 3 flags in the mid 00s, not 1.

I don't see a small forward, talented as though he was, tipping the scales to the same degree as a dominant FF that sadly never was.

What is Sampis what if though? His career naturally declined after he lost form and couldnt get himself together.. It's not like he was taken out by an external factor. A what if should be someone that could have potentially been a star if not for injury or unforeseen circumstance.

Oh Sampi was tipping the scales towards the end of his career alright.

Big Q became a bit of a board meme but he kicked 65 & 52 goals in 2006/07. Was a big factor for us.

Nailed ours though

Most naturally talented footballer I've ever seen

Brad Smith for me. nowhere near as talented as Sampi but him doing all the ACLS as opposed to being our FF imo cost us a minimum 1 premiership and a slight chance at a second.

With Smith and a hardened team we could have trebled before it all fell to shit.
