Maybe it could be a person acting like an umpire, ..... we’ve had a few of them this last season.

It looks like the AFL is covering up the umpires from the round one match where Cerra was awarded 3 votes.
To save the full read, Rosebury, Williamson and Gavine were the umpires that day.
Rosebury is too old. The police arrested two 32 year olds, a 29 year old and a 27 year old.

Four people, including an AFL umpire, are arrested over suspicious betting activity around the AFL's 2022 Brownlow Medal, with Victoria Police alleging "a person with knowledge of the voting tally" gave information to others.

It appears that now, according to a Fox report, that there are now players being investigated as well over different issues in regards to betting.

Not clear if 27 at the date of the article (Dec 2021) or at the date of what the article is talking about (July 2020).
I'd say it is almost certainly Gavine. Someone on the main board says the HS is saying the umpire is not high profile, which I think would rule out Williamson.
I did say that in my post. Different situation. But still linked to betting and the agencies.D
