Collingwood’s midfield is so balanced now with Mitchell. It means Nick Daicos can lurk around the packs as a half back, racking up ridiculous uncontested possession numbers. I’d love for Young to have the ball in his hands that often.

Which is great, but his kick is so lethal that might actually be a waste. I dare say we would be at least 3-2 if we had Nick Daicos doing his best seagull impression for us.

I'm pleasantly surprised tbh.
My money was on it being Melbourne's turn next year, followed shortly by an announcement that since it was now such a grand Victorian tradition it would be held in Melbourne every year henceforth.
Victorians should not be complaining about anything. 17 games at home. But West Australians have a right to feel shafted.

Exactly the point, the whole thing is worse for WA, NSW and QLD clubs than it is for the Vics. SA have to travel out 10 times, the others 11.
And WA probably has to travel twice as far as those other states too.

Did you see the team Ross had at the end of his freo tenure? Was basically a WAFL side.
If we stuck with Ross and had our current list, we’d be undefeated.

Except the players were exhausted under him and it was coming apart. Ask anyone involved then not named Walters or Fyfe and you’ll get a similar response. We needed a fresh start, it will be the same thing in a few years with Saints

He was done here. Carlton, Essendon (signing Rutten, Scott seems to doing fine for now) who passed on him should be the ones under the microscope.
