I really like DeKoning as a leaping ruck to complement Pittonett as the wrestling, bull ruck. We have the same style currently in Jackson and Darcy respectively. Perhaps they see Silvani as a better forward option for when Pittonett is in the ruck, and I suppose he is, but... what if they aren't playing DeKoning because he is leaving the end of the year?

What if not playing him results in him leaving the end of the year?

Do we think Voss is hard headed enough to leave Tom out because he hasn't committed to the club if it means they are beaten quite considerably when Pittonett isn't in the ruck?

Yeah I've never understood rival fans wanting other clubs to move on a bad coach. Ideally, there would be 17 of them going around.

WC's list is probably the worst I have seen - a combination of a lack of decent young talent and horrible long contracts to vets who were already breaking down. Worse than Melbourne and North in their dark days, at least they always had some decent kids coming through.

They are going to need to turn over a minimum of 10-15 players per year for the next few years just to clear the deadwood off their list. Inevitably, that also means a lot of draft busts given most of those 10-15 will be low-end draft picks/mid season draft picks etc.

They may attract a number of fringe players from other clubs such as Rhys Matheison who has been dominating in the VFL and can't crack a game in the Brisbane seniors, Jeremy Sharp and Callum Achee perhaps also.

On a side note - Ed Allen starting to do well in Collingwood's' VFL team. Hope he comes home in 1-2 years!

It will be interesting to see what happens to the Eagles at the end of the year. Hurn and Shuey you would assume are retiring, but you probably need to have a few more move on to commit to the rebuild, 2 retirements isn't enough and almost every club in the league would have similar. McGovern and Nic Nat are signed on for 2 more so they're staying and all their other vets are contracted for next year. We may not see them properly enter rebuild mode until the end of next year. Just woeful list management

It’s not that uncommon to mix things up with an undersized ruck. We played Blake Acres there a few times.

This is the problem with Carlton. They never want to develop what they have, it's all about stealing other teams players. The other teams being GWS & Freo.

I would offer west coast McGovern , fisher and Jack Martin for the number 1 pick to start with
They need experienced players , not a newbie who won't hang around for more than 2 years.

Can't remember if we played Acres at the centre bounce? But Darcy was injured at that time and we needed Lobb forward. They have De Koning in the magoos.

No worries playing Silvagni for the boundary or ball-ups but that was insane to me and what's with Hewett as the sub? So you can have slow Ed Curnow in there? And playing Kennedy at half forward where he's proving to be a crab at the position again and again. He's a midfielder.

Their boys seem slow. Nullify Saads run and carry and they can't seem to transition well and a lot of their boys can't kick. Cerra is proving to be a solid inside and outside player though.
