If we can keep our group together then we're a much bigger threat of challenging for the foreseeable future. Carlton need to be at their peak right now if they want to win any thing. Their spine alone carries, and any injury to Weitering/McKay/Curnow will take them right back down to average.

Carlton's under 26 of any note to me from watching them this year (maybe i'm being a bit harsh):
  • De Koning
  • Cerra
  • Walsh
  • Hollands***

Vs our under 26 who are easily b22:
  • Darcy
  • Cox
  • Brayshaw
  • Freddy
  • Clark
  • Serong
  • Young
  • Sharp
  • Jackson
  • Chapman
  • Treacy
  • Walker
  • Amiss
wow, we have..............so many. Sometimes you forget how much the talent the club has amassed. Hoping it pays dividends soon.....

Martin......top 10? God no
Martin is massive for their forward line

Just about their only medium/small that has any talent

Martin is a very good player, just spends most of the time on the sidelines, he was pivotal for them in their charge at the backend of last year

I actually have been liking Zwilliams move into the forward line tbh though, so add him to their short list of good small/medium forwards

The rest are complete plodders (motlop has the chance to be good but also out atm)

They've been playing the corpse of Orazio Fantasia, thats how bad its been down there

If you have time pre book a MCG museum visit and a MCG tour . We'll worth the cost.

Agreed. I did it on the last tour on a Friday afternoon before a Friday night game. It was cool getting to watch them setting up for the match. Got to meet a couple of the commentators as well.

Can't see how Melbourne turn this match nor their season around. Their forward method is terrible. The players down there are a problem, but it's not like Kreuger and Hoskin-Elliot are any better than say Van Rooyen and Fritsch. Pickett should be more dangerous than Hill, Schultz, etc.

unlike our win where the media was all over how bad Melbourne were, the narrative on this one will be how amazing the Pies are

You can already hear it with the commentators jizzing themselves over how good the Pies have been. When in reality they have played an average game that they are only winning because Melbourne have self-imploded in their forward half and some ruckmen have fluked goals from the boundary line. And Melbourne's best player got injured on quarter time.

@AFLxScore near end of 3Q:
COLL 69 from expected 55.3
MELB 34 from expected 49.1

And that doesn't include Pickett's last miss.

No surprises sadly. Melbourne are embarrassing. Huge decisions need to be made at the end of the season
They lost that air of invulnerability when we beat them at the G in 2022. They haven't been the same since.

we didn't get any of that

What a snooze this game has been.

Demon's forward line completely disfunctional, sucks the energy out of the entire team, we have been there many times, even this year.
