Somehow we aren't seen as a young team. Montagna or someone will correct commentary and still they will talk about other teams and their youth and potential.
Not only are we young, we are going to play finals this season and have a bounty of draft picks to bring in a player and class.. or both.
You forgot the best of them… fisher mcasey retired at 21!

Nah it’s definitely worse… and Tbf they actually got a reasonable amount of service out of McGregor
They got absolutely nothing out of mcasey meanwhile could’ve had any one of young/serong/warner/pickett etc
Doubly worse considering their midfield bar Dawson is putrid

He deliberately did that because Adelaide begun to sniff round young , especially once they found out he was slipping through to their pick

Oh it is worse on performance aspect absolutely. They did miss out on Pav though which is what haunted them for a long time. Ken was an ok player
Yea know story (picking McGregor ahead of Pav with their last pick in the 1998 draft - apparently was toss up between the 2) and agree has certainly haunted Adelaide fans.
I just think we(footy fans) get a little too cute with this kinda thing in hindsight .
As I said they still got ok service out of Ken.

Well certainly not until we see how Erasmus career pans out(I still think there’s 200 game player in there)
in which case I don’t know how you could call it amiss
it’s bit like saying the eagles* “missed” on Fyfe in the 09 draft by picking sheppard or sheed over Cripps.
*hopefully in the next few years we genuinely say they missed on Jonno tho (chesser)
