The thing these nuffies ignore is that having one camera angle is like having one eye. There's a reason we don't let people with eye drive cars or heavy machinery........

We have two camera angles that definitively put the ball over the post. Case closed.
You would think even the most one-eyed supporters could see that...

This whole Arc melt is just a deflection in order to not put the spotlight on thier poor defence that allowed Joe to kick the winning goal instead of knocking it out for a point or out of the ground

If they keep on crying like this they're gonna need a different kind of Arc:

Lol Carey considering suing the perth casino for his current ban due to the discrimination act …I’m 100% sure the act doesn’t classify drug usuage as a disability even if he’s still claiming the powder was crushed anti inflammatory medication for his deliberating injuries

Thank goodness we didn't end up with Ross Lyon last year. I just can't stomach him.
I wonder what the conversation really was.

Meet with Ross, sound him out. He declines.

Then we go get a bunch of inexperienced assistant coaches.

Could it be that his ego was so big that he wanted a bigger role? Or CS and Hocking heard his pitch and then realised he wasn’t right for where we were heading?

You can see him right now smashing up all his zirtec or voltarin or whatever the f*ck he classifies as ‘medicine’ and putting them in little baggies.

He was dumb enough to try and hand the bag over. They were dumb enough not to accept. And now he has the opportunity to double down on his lie to try and protect his career.

Why was he dumb offering to hand the bag over??

Carey says it was crushed analgesic and was obviously confident enough to offer it for testing. The casino not taking the substance for testing now have no leg to stand on.

Unless you can prove possession of a prohibited substance, then you can't ban an individual on that basis.

Of course there may be an accumulation of other episodes we may not know about that has led to his ban.

On the surface though I think Carey may well be successful in his law suit.

Interesting to read that Lyon was offered a position to work with Scott but turned it down , I still recall some chatter on here about sourcing him out for a role here to aid Scott…thankfully he turned it down imo

Lyon also said he had been offered a role at Geelong to work with coach Chris Scott last year but had turned it down.

Also obligating LOL at Ess struggling to get a experienced coach to commit

It's hilarious that nobody wants to go to coach Essendon. After seeing how they treated Rutten, everyone is just staying well away from the Bombers. The legacy of James Hird and the drug scandal just lives on forever. Amazing stuff.

The fact he's doubling, tripling, quadrupling, 100-ing down on this pain med story almost pushes it into "so ridiculous it could actually be true" territory.

A few more days of this and I'd almost start believing him.

Yeah that's not a senior coach role though. Kind of a director of coaching deal

If it was called a behind by the umpire does that change the outcry? If it was called a behind, and went to ARC, do they still spend the week and likely off season sooking/>
Absolutely. There would still be sooking, no doubt. But the amplification of that sooking as a result of overturning the goal umpire's call on frankly pathetic footage (for this day and age) has to be acknowledged. If it's called a behind right away, plenty of Tigers fans would (reluctantly) accept there's insufficient evidence to overturn that call. But it's hardly surprising that going with a call of 'goal' initially then has them in conniptions when it gets overturned on footage that was reminiscent of the quality of amateur video footage from the 1960's.

It is an utter farce that by far the best footage of the kick (and the most conclusive evidence of it being a behind) comes from a fan sitting in the crowd, while the almighty AFL sits back with all their billions and provides footage that pretty much resembles the quality of an after dark security cam to prosecute their case.

Everyone can mock the Richmond fans all they like. And the errors of their own players were monumental in ensuring the result didn't go their way. But defending the ARC (and the so-called 'technology' under which it operates) just seems to me to be wilful ignorance of a very ordinary system masquerading as best practice.

Still, never fear, the AFL has a solution ready to go. Don't spend any more money, don't actually make the system better. Just stop asking the umps for their 'soft call'. Then nobody can moan about the 'overturning'. Voila, problem solved.

As you said, so far from the truth it's embarrassing

Is anti-inflam. medicinal ...more likely to be in tablet form? Is there any use of it ina powdered form within afl? Is there any example of a powdered form of medical use outside of afl?

Or is it just a concoction?

Id have thought in this day he could have quickly shown a medicine bottle , a posted video of it. etc ..asked for them to keep the powder to test it at the time of the occurrence...

It has the feel of johnnie cochran ..about the way he is going defence by attack .

Would he agree to having a hair test for drugs?

Spot-on question.
Powdered anti-inflamms- never used
Powdered drugs- cocaine maybe.
Crushed panadol- why?
