Well let's put it this way, if we don't make a prelim between now and 2034 we'd be pretty disappointed. They've gone through that. Let's see how they go now they're finally back in the mix.

No, they wouldn't be happy, but I want them to wallow in abject misery for just a bit.

Not for too long though, mind you. Just the next decade or so would be ok.

Not a single person can fight just wild haymakers

At least over at Richmond they are training in grappling.
It looks like a bit of 'guard pass' training.

Not sure if it belongs here but Joel was at my local.cafe in Adelaide today catching up with Erin Phillips. Not sure what was on the agenda. Might be they are about to get expanded roles in the media.

Also, some idiot kept trying to talk to him about Ken Hinkley. Just let the man have a coffee ffs

Both are (were) employed by the AFL and guessing that Joel would likely be visiting the two SA clubs this week. The following is from an article Dec 2023:

AFL Executive General Manager Football Laura Kane is pleased to confirm the appointments of Erin Phillips and Joel Selwood to the AFL Football Operations department.

Premiership Captains in their own right, and more than 400 games combined, Phillips and Selwood will be specifically focused on the on-field football product and player engagement with the role supporting the football operations department relating to Game Analysis, Talent Pathways, Player Movement and Player Engagement across both AFL and AFLW.

I frustratingly can't find the info now but watched something on it a week or two ago, where Joel will be visiting all AFL clubs over the pre-season in the capacity as an AFL employee, and potentially from a leadership type perspective

I don't get the fuss about Wardlaw.
He's going to be an excellent footballer but so many people classify him as a Judd-esque talent.
Reminds me more of another Serong which is still a pretty handy player.

The Herald Sun has named their 'Team of the Century so far'

Criteria:
Must have played at least 150 games in the 25-season window.

It takes into account performances across that period, factoring in impact on the game, finals performances, personal and team achievements, longevity, leadership, durability, X-factor and importance to their team.
