Putting the whistle away when Collingwood are giving away free after free is tough.

Respect to Giants great season.
Gotta be honest the Pies have been mostly ordinary the last few weeks but somehow they got it done and they're in.

Giants probably just lacked that bit of composure that would've given them another goal or two.

Looks like Dan's done which is rotten luck for him.

Clear Giants free in that marking contest then Green legged immediately after.
Giants players had no heads and no legs in that last quarter.

At least three blatant frees ignored by the Umps "cos they put the whistle away"

I fear for the umpiring in our game.

The romanticism of a Coll v Carl GF might be a liitle hard for them to resist.

I feel for the the Giants, they played so well....hope the Pies have exhausted themselves playing at that pace.

..Darcy Moore is looking more and more like he should be playing AFLW
He looks like he belongs in a horror movie .

I think I am against the prevailing opinion but I thought the umpiring was quite good, they let a lot go, felt like the same for both teams though.

If it's a choice I would prefer they let stuff go rather than play tiggy touch wood free kicks.
The umpiring was fine.

They missed a couple of sodas in the last but the Giants got the ball straight after and had their chances.

The umpiring stunk. Hurt GWS slightly more in the last because they were chasing but both teams weren’t called for obvious frees throughout the game.

I thought the umpiring was poor but for the same reason - they let a lot go. I don't think it really favoured one team over the other after the first quarter.

I'd rather they pull everything up since I have no doubt that'd lead to a lot more open and free-flowing game once players adjust, but I've given up expecting anyone in the AFL or umpiring association to have the balls to do that.

Genius of the Pies to realise umps won't blow the whistle in the last 90 seconds so they can bend the rules as they wish. Reckon they did it in another close game earlier this year as well.

Incredibly disappointing from the giants having Keefe ruck the end. He was gassed and didnt offer a thing.

infact, the entire team was. Who would have thought with a 6 day break. You can't make this shit up. Move the game forward for Carlton tomorrow but make the Giants play in Adelaide at 7.50 when they knew they couldn't fly home that night. How can we contend with this bias.

I don't think it was deliberate. Collingwood had De Goey stuck on their bench at the end too - the play never got over that side of the field, and being a man down while your player runs away from the contest to interchange is too great a disadvantage.
