Just because a player tackles someone legitimately hard like Simpkin did on a Melbourne player near the boundary does not make it dangerous when his head was nowhere near the ground. WTF do umps think a free is warranted for a hard tackle; I mean we’re not playing tiddlywinks here and just because these soft umps think it’s warranted is utter crap.

North need a tall forward who can help Larkey and maybe a better winger. But their defence is the big issue they need to rectify over the offseason - and they won't be able to do that via the draft. The Freo guy that is out with an ACL will help when he is back.

Saw a few Carlton players who seem to know how to fox for the free in marking and tackling contests.

Should make a long list of these clips and send it to Umpires department with a gentle "please advise if this is ok in future too coz we are going to practice for it".

Once we enter the tail end of season, these type of 1% matter big time. So I hope all finals clubs seriously make a push for it so it gets eradicated or not paid in future.

You can kinda see how this game is going to pan out.

Gc just doesn’t have that gear to go to. Imo it’s due to a lack of class around the ball. Too many work rate blue collar (very good mind you) mids.
