Why do you have to sulk about non Lions footy talk in the non Lions footy talk thread? Much more of a derail than people discussing actual football.

It's almost like not much non-Lions footy stuff happens until the pre-season starts, which is right about when the women's season ends! GASP!

Maybe just skip this thread until then if you're going to have a meltdown every time you open it.
 
That was a really dirty game, a lot of cheap shots let go. I hope that isn't going to be the norm with the umpiring.

Collingwood's forward line just didn't function. Chiocci tried to lift them but nobody went with her and when they lost their big kpd they were in big trouble.

Antonio from Freo went very well. But again glaring basic errors interspersed with some nice passages.

You may have also noticed these posts aren't getting moved either because despite your honestly childish reactions, this is the appropriate thread for non Lions football discussion. Nobody is doing anything wrong except you.

Molloy was getting deliberately targeted it seemed. The umps just let it happen.
 
I’m in Billy Puller’s camp here (for some reason I feel like I have to apologise but not sure why). I have no interest in our women’s team (or the comp for that matter). I come on here to read non-lions stuff related to the blokes. Like Billy I had to read through posts about something I have no interest in to find out if there are any posts about something I am interested in.

Is it too difficult to create a women’s non-Lions thread?

I think there would be many who feel the same.

Please be kind in your responses, and please understand that some of us just don’t dig the AFLW comp!

If the mods moved every topic somebody didnt like into its own subthread the board would get very bloated very quickly.

Might just have to suck it up for the 2 months that AFLW is a thing.

As a mod, my explanation to BP is above but I'll put it a bit more politely since you were more polite. :)

Basically it's off-season, there's little to no actual football chatter on the men's comp outside of the preseason thread, and as a result this thread is being dominated by women's football but the alternative isn't "just men's football" - it'd be "just nothing". There's only been five non-AFLW posts in the past six weeks.

If the aim is to not see AFLW information, just skip this thread until the start of the AFL preseason games.

Not to re-ignite this debate, but wouldn't those posts be better off in the AFLW thread which is currently on the front page? I would personally prefer posts to be in the correct threads even if it means some sit empty for a while.

The existing threads are focused on the Lions specifically, i.e. non-Lions AFLW footy fits better in here than in those so IMO this is currently the correct thread.

It might be worth considering an AFLW-specific non-Lions thread next season given the traffic but we're already partway through this season.
 
Getting boring scrolling through all the pontificating about which content should go where. Makes it hard to focus on the quality footy discussion. The respective genitalia of the participants is a non-factor for mine.

We get it you’re super duper progressive and cool.

It’s not quality footy discussion when half the posters have nfi what you’re talking about when we read it.

It’d be like if people started talking about VFL teams and players and the scores on the weekend. They have dicks and I’d still be annoyed reading it
