Re: Northern Football League Division 2

His mother did complain to the league (as he has to have the week off work, because he can't see out of his right eye - pretty serious i would have thought) and the league spoke to ur club and ur president advised who was involved.

As if your club would do any different if someone in your team was seriously hurt.

His brother hasn't played for parkside since 2006, and we do not support any threats towards anyone!!

I agree his brother should stay out it.

your a snuff mate:thumbsdown:

appreciate your comments they do give the boys some drive, should be a good contest against Watsonia, predicitions are hard at the moment, we still have a lot to do with our guys, learning as we go along with each match? very happy with our performance last week.

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

looking foward to Thomastown v Lower this weekend!

Bears playing great brand of footy atm with 4 or 5 players still out!

What can we expect from Lower this game?

yess looking forwarding to seeing the result!! i think the bears will win comfortably..

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

A resounding victory by the boys last week and it is good to get back on the winners list.
Shaw was outstanding and other good players were Richie Andrew and young Crommo.
BOMBERS: Going out on a limb selecting The Bears against The Bears!!
GHOST: Next time you come and watch the Cleoders train, pop in for an ale and introduce yourself!!

W2B, watched your training session Tues night @ P.RSL. Is that a standard session for you guys. Looked that a lot of your good players must not have been training. A fair lot of older blokes giving it a go though. I now understand what you mean by the players needing to gel together. I am sure the standard will improve, and I am going to come down in another couple of months, and judge for myself if it has.
Good luck this weekend.

thomo does have the wood on lower recently and with a few inclusions this week should get the chocolates. couple injuries but ready made players on return. under estimate them at your own peril....the money watsonia are spending seems to have worked for 2 rounds anyway. wasted a stack last year for no result, hope they dont revisit the dark old days...:D:D

That normally isn't, a lot of our guys did join in at some stage we have a lot of guys that pulled up sore, and didn't train, most of our 1st did turn up, and didn't train so we have to change some of the training drills, and fitness thats why we did a lot of skills type our seconds do need that type of training. We don't have as much depth, but that is slowly growing with more players signing up, you would know every man and there dog turns up on Thursday on selection night, and seniors train seprate to reserves, it would give a better indication on what our side looks like, but would like to here any of your reviews on our training good or bad. We have a strong community and encourage alot of the elder blokes to get down and be active, as we would also like them to be around a lot longer than there body would allow them to be.

Lower beat you in 2006, you beat lower in 2007. I would call that pretty even!

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

Slightly off the topic a bit.

Just noticed that there is a fixture up on NFL site for the inaugural season of the NFL Netball.

There appears to be 6 teams represented - Eltham, Diamond Creek, Lalor, Epping, Mernda & Mernda B.

Just interested who the Ins and Outs are and which team has the most talent. Can anyone shed some light??

BTW - I'm Not at all interested in what their netballing ability is, coz i don't care

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

Another big week of fooy ahead and plenty of good games across the board.
JUDDS: Recent history suggests that Thommo have done well against Lower but it still makes for a great game.
CLEOD 9: Thanks for the invite mate and perhaps I will take you up on that one day. Tonight, however, I might check out the Stars training. Saw them once during pre-season and it would be good to see them again.

Maybe while your down at stars training ghost, you could look to see who they will most likely match up on Ciavola of Watsonia. Noticed he kicked 12 last week, the stars will certainly have to look out for him. From all reports a very dangerous player.

He is fairly mecurial but likes to cheat like hell. Give him a little rib - tickler early and he will spend the day looking over the shoulder. Doesn't like playing with close attention, but can rip goals you thought weren"t possible.

A resounding victory by the boys last week and it is good to get back on the winners list.

Great to see the flat track bullies back at their best. Smash the crap teams but when the real acid test comes they will no doubt choke again (just take your pick from any one of the recent finals series)!

You must really hate the finals time- when Macleod are destined to choke again! :(

Couldn't happen to a better mob!:D

Aside from that great to see Watsy and Thommo on the improve- hopefully they can make an impact this year.

Obviously a sad case of, only if I had some of his ability, eh KA? Sabby may have left the nest but is still highly regarded down there. Would absolutely rip you apart. And as for "cheating like hell" well all you've done recently is cut corners.

Thanks M.o.t.h,

I can say I have played against Sabby a few times and would categorically say that at very worst I have come out even.

But Yes, I do rate him but only when he is focused. He can be too easily distracted.

As for cutting corners, well mate, I have trouble cutting my own lunch nowdays. Probably best I cut someones else's instead. :D

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

was anyone surprised that the stars beat morang? i guess when a side loses a third of their 1s and a third of their 2s it aint. I wonder if the commitee there realise that they may have a problem down there!!!!!!!

i hope u no that yes they did lose a third of their players, and did u also no they r a very young side, most of them never played senior footy before this year, they have about 4 or 5 players younger then 19 and a few guys who have never played senior footy beofre, they will smash epping this week

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

Ventured out to see the Stars train last night and got there in time to see about 30 minutes or so. True to a Thursday night across the league, plenty of numbers on track. Couldn't honestly pinpoint who they are going to play on Ciavola as I don't know enough about them. I will make the comment that they appear to be a very tall side...WTB can you confirm this...you seem to have a number of players on the park that look capable of filling a key position.
Now, to my all important tips for Round 3:
* Epping by 37
* Macleod by 80
* Hurstbridge by 13
* Mernda by 30
* Watsonia by 25
* Thomastown by 17
* Whittlesea by 50
Good luck to all

jonbrown, u have no idea about anything, most of them have played senoir footy before, only a handfull havent, and epping will beat morang by 10 goals, now go back to wherever you were before you started posting cause you no nothing about football.

I dare say Epping should easily account for morang. at least 7-8 goals.
jonbrown u need your head checked cause i was told the stars carved up morang and ran them off their feet which, eventhe over weight blokes ran away from them. I was also told Morang could not pick up the ball cleanly which cost them. Young Blokes hey maybe the club should look after the young group and slash $$$ their way and look after them... oh wait they have already left...
