Whatever is said about Whittlesea after yesterday's loss, I think the main concern at the club is that I heard they have now lost their past 9 finals. Until they get a finals win on the board, they will be continue to be targeted as not being able to stand up when it counts. Had an awesome season, but unfortunately for them, fell away significantly towards the end.

Very even grand final ahead. Could make a case for either side. I tipped Macleod bout four weeks back, but with Ewart no longer in the line up, might swing to Thommo.

We are obviously not happy with the performances put forward in the past 3 weeks but to put up with the rubbish being bandied around here is good for no more than a laugh. Know for a fact that many of the people talking this rubbish have never stepped onto the field (bomber boy) and as such are not qualified to talk.

In response to myself and Tolly's focus, we obivously became frustrated and overzealous with our attack. In our defence we have both been Whittlesea people and played together since Under 13's so to cop the constant questioning of peoples characters at the club hurts.

We will be back next year, putting ourselves in the firing line and the same people's lives will be revolving around a sickly desire to see a stranger fail.

And no we are not having our mad monday today as the club still has a job to do next weekend and us senior guys will be their supporting.

Fact is that last year in the prelim, Macleod played a similar brand of football and so did Whittlesea. Tolly got Yellow carded last year for
his agression and Whittlesea lost the plot.

I don't think anyone's having a go at your character, you just
need to put your agressive attack on the football and not so much
the body.

ran down the wing, took 6 bounces, dodged about 13 Whittlesea
players, stopped for a ciggie on the half forward flank, chatted up
a spectacular blonde in the forward pocket, and slotted the match
winning goal with 1 second left on the clock !!!!!!!!!!!

So what you're saying is that the behaviour of a couple of spectators
will affect the attitude of the players.

Almost forgot, every other club have model citizens as supporters.

Now on a positive note why don't the genuine WFC people get a real coach, get rid of the Bug and his FIGJAM assistant, get someone who can nurture the terrific lists of 17`s 19`s & young seniors into the future and create a club culture that can overcome this affliction that is haunting your club.

Saw Thommo v Whittlesea and Thommo looked the goods, fierce, skilled and a finals team. Don't know how Macleod have stacked up this year but would need to play well from what i've seen.

The big question from a Macleod perspective is have they got any physical size yet (aside from Brandt) or will the same problem afflict them again???

They could never match it with a team that attacked them physically (in a fair way) and played tough hard footy when it came to finals (in particular Grand Finals). Thommo seem to have this ability but can they execute?

Finishing on top and being bundled out in straight sets is pretty much inexcusable, no matter who it is. They shouldn't just "feel shit for a week" - it should hurt for a lot longer than that and hopefully for them strive them on to bigger and better things.

However there could be a bit of a player turnover at Whittlesea during the pre-season if my sources close to the club are correct. ....

It'll hurt until at least round 1 when we can start to correct our failures of 2008.
Only the people that don't want to be a part of the club will move on. No player is un replaceable.

COAK - Pete did not once contact anyone trying to get them to leave. We all contacted him. We were all leaving Sth Morang no matter what, we just happened to all go to Whittlesea.
