sorry overbelly my bad i didnt know u like to stalk people?:confused: and my pitchfork is nice and sharpe and waithing for nexted year when u choke again in the big 1.... and yes i hav only made very few comments on both sites.
But i watch alot and play alot of local footy and mate if your team is going to win the big 1 u need a shake up of the people that run and play for your club........AND THATS A FACT!!!! that goes for all teams in the same boat as yours......

AND UNDERBELLY ITS A FORUM IF U CARNT HANDLE IT DONT WRITE BACK SWEETHEART..

Listen here teabag, I'm one of those who put who invest a lot of time of money down at my club and we don't need to be told by someone who works at the SPC Factory in Shepperaton how to do things. There are 14 clubs in the division and only 1 winner at the end of the year. Just getting to the final dance is hard enough, to do it 3 years in a row is amazing.
It hurts enough to lose and the boys will benefit again from the experience.

So rather than pinpionting your obvious ambitions to kick us when where down, how about you just go about your business kicking the gravel along
the Hume Highway, spend your pre-season fruit picking with the tourists
and puss off to another forum ya Hillbilly.

I didnt really want to comment on this issue but it is getting very
irritating. Macloed, well done for being there for a 3rd year in a row. Most of the supporters on here are just saying things on the line of "Atleast we made it" "Being in it 3 years in a row is amazing" which it is. But just getting to the grand finals seems to be enough for the supporters and players, and it seems to me you's just arnt hungry enough to go that extra step further. I wont deny that i would probably be saying the same thing in your shoe's, but come on stop with the atleast we made it 3 years in a row. Being in it 3 years in a row may be something to be proud of but losing it 3 years in a row defintely isnt.

I don't think anyone involved at Macleod is proud of our PAST 3 YEARS.
Our history is quite tragic to say the least, but to get constant feedback from Bloggers who are involved at from clubs who haven't been involved in Grand Finals is quite humourous.

So unless you are involved at Thomastown, simply keep your pie hole shut.

There's only one Paul Lawson. Thank f#*k for that:D:D;);)

just imagine the dilemma that the nfl would have next year if north yang yean managed to win a couple of finals and play off against a macleod side looking to choke for a 4th consecutive year.

i know its a little early for rumours but ive heard from a few people at different clubs that diamond creek has come into some money and is looking to buy a side for next season.

North Yan Yean v the Clouders what a promoters nightmare!, my money would be on Macleod as the young eagles are mentally scarred for life. Hear a sports phycologist is setting up practise in the township, set to make a killing out of the local footy club especially after they re-appoint the BUG:thumbsdown:

Wonder how the mood was at their presentation last night, wonder if the seniors & reserves mingled together happily unlike their finals campaign:(?

you may think that its a promoters nightmare but going on this years form the only side that will run close will be the stars( if they get a good pre season in). the creekers dropping back are an unknown and epping should get better but at this early stage i think the Kangas and the Eagles will be up and about come next years finals....
but then again it is the silly season and all it needs is for a side to get a couple of good sponsors on board and pick up some quality players and they will be right in the race.

Well done Jinnetty, a genuine tough in and under ball player, terrific inspiring leader;) absolutely terrible career move:thumbsdown: with Diamo back in next year as a strong cashed up unit and the Stars growing in strength that premiership window of opportunity you are desparately seeking is closing fast.

Have not heard boo from that metal giant Trav Stevens, i miss our little lopsided intellectual banter, where are you craterface?, cat got your tongue?

The only side that will run close ?
you beat mernda by a point you spaz
and watsonia by 3 goals
the air of arrogance remains apparently

I have named 5 sides that in my opinion will be up the top of the ladder next year, if that is arrogance then so be it....
Mernda will only need to pick up a couple of players and they will be in the mix and if Wattsy spends big like they did last year but spend the money on good players then they to will be in the hunt also, but i thought that was what i was getting at with my last comment.

Read it again
i was sure it said "stars will be the only side that will come close"
you beat mernda by a point - 1 point - a minor score - the lowest possible margin - are you getting the drift - they are already in the mix
Telling watsy who they should spend money on is a bit rich as well - you beat them by 3 goals - they too are also in the mix
face facts - you aint that far ahead - your lack of respect for other teams is unbecoming
i would have thought you might spend your time searching for an answer to your own shortcomings before patting yourself on the back for too long.
yes you will get some 19's and corr and lynch back probably but i am sure you will lose one or two like every team

Well maybe you can name your top sides so then i can pick the shit out of your selections... unfortunatly you cant fit ten sides into the top 5 spots. It has nothing to do with respect for sides, its just my opinion, nothing more...

it aint about picking your top sides or a difference of opinion its about you macleod blokes continuosly pumping yourselves up and stating how superior your team is to every one else

not sure who at Macleod has upset you but i dont think i have been "pumping up" or saying that we are superior to everyone else... far from it, we have lost 3 in a row so we need to do a lot of hard work to change that...
All i was trying to do was throw up a bit of a chat about who will be there next year but as i havent named your team you have sooked up... move on.

To make top 2 next year you will need $, your players to do a Full pre-season, pick up a couple of new players and not loose to many current players, a good coaching panel, few injurys and most of all $$$$$$$

Agree. Been that way for years now.
Unless the club is playing in Div 3, $$$$$$ will the determining factor of ladder position. Heart and passion will determine premierships.
And it is only growing by the year.

My mail is that N.Lynch shall be overseas for couple of months. If he returns, he will miss a bit of pre-season (not that it would effect him too much). Also I'd like to think he would return to MaCleod, however I feel he will move on. For MaCleod's sake, I hope it's not next year.

As stated with Snorta earlier this year, I believe Parkside shall have some very handy inclusions for their team list next year. Some Div 1 players making their way there.

Thommo, I have heard, are again trying to lure Big Red's older, littler brother to the cave.

I shall keep my ear close to the ground on Reservoir as well as H.West. I would be very interested to see what kind of team these clubs put on the park, if at all.

I shall watch Mernda with interest, because notoriously the Devils are slow starters to the season, and it has cost them at seasons end the past couple of year. That is in relation to their ladder position. Get Doovy, and Rees to put in a good pre-season, along with Shelts and Drakes', and it should set you in good stead for a start. Rod, you need a good pre-season, however only so you can play good 2's footy. Your gf's younger bro pulling on the red n blue next year?

Fitzroy Stars I shall also be keeping the eagle eye on. Will Tindara make his way there for next year. What a shame his footy has taken in the past 12 months. From roving to the first tap of M.Kruezer, to playing a cameo role in a forward line of the P.Bullants U/17's. Will the Stars be able to attract the likes of the Edwards gents back? Bit of a kick in the teeth what happened with them at the start of the year. I am sure they will be welcomed back into the fold.

I disagree. Firstly can you explain which players from Thomo were lured there with $$$$ They have a good bunch of core young players who played together all through juniors (Lalor Stars) and worked hard to get there together. It was the same with Lalor last year, no big $$ signings but a good core team unit.

Also if I was fit I would play seniors, but being fit is a long way away for me at the moment. Still one more footy trip to worry about.

Alas what GF??

Couldn't agree more Moose. From memory, Thomo had about 12 players from the premiership side come up from the juniors and Lalor had something similar last year. And in talking to some of the Macleod boys and coaching staff, it was clear that they don't pay their players much at all. Never underestimate a close knit group of players who play for each other and not the $$$$, especially in Div 2 football.
