Having tossed the coin for the div 2 GF two years in a row, there was just a slight difference in the length of time when the result of the toss was known and the choice of direction was made... Last year was a record in terms of time between the coin turning up and the call made.

This year, it's a head - Whittlesea has the choice and the decision to kick downhill and with the wind had been made as soon as Queen Elizabeth's mug appeared on the upside!

They made the right choice this year at the coin toss which is what they should have done against Macleod in last years div 2 GF macleod kicked with the wind in the 1st qtr and piled on 10 first quarter goals to whittlesea's 1.

Sounds like the type of bloke who should`nt be coaching! Bit of a strange unit anyway, seemed to always be preoccupied with the position of our opposition coaches box when we played them

What happened with the 'Creek coaching gig previously mentioned?? Did they give him his job back or not?

Apparently he did not wan`t the job back. players went to the committee wanting them to get him back, but he refused. Put in for the Lower job, then withdrew his application after first interview.

Never put application in, was approached by Lower. Had a chat with them before deciding whether to apply or not. Probably going to have a year off. Interesting to see a Club President of a Northern Side has put in for the coaching gig!!!

I believe he has had a 2nd interview......
Hasn't been club president for 2 years now.
Would be a good appointment IMHO

Gary Ramsay appointed Lower Plenty coach for 2011

Congrats to Gary and Lower Plenty. Wish him well
Interesting though that the picture on LP site of Gary is the picture taken by Watsonia for their website and bio is a copy of the bio on the Watsonia website.
Also of note is the fact that he coached Watsonia last year but that does not get mentioned!

Not much point mentioning that I suppose. Most recognise that Gary is a more than capable coach, hopefully now he has good vehicle to show that and do so with a good deal of success!

Mate as I said I wish Gary well he is a nice guy.
The fact is he did coach Wats last year and as coach has to take a lot of the responsibility for the season. It is part of his bio as much as he probably wishes it wasn't. Last 2 clubs he has coached have ended up in Div 3.
Fact is nearly anyone can coach a club who have good players it takes a really good coach to improve a struggling club. Hopefully Wats have that for next year.:)
