Proven not only can he be a lethal bowler, he is no knock over with the bat.

His bowling has been pretty ordinary this year actually, not taking enough wickets.

Batting is excellent though.

Now comes the real test, the new ball.

Hussey played and missed twice in the first over with it.

Understatement of the year. FFS...if Thornley can make runs - the deck must be a ripper!
LOL! Exactly my sentiments, as I’ve stated before in this thread! :p

what most people forget is white was the captain of the junior test team that won the world cup in the final against South Africa about 3 years ago in NZ.

The aussie bats were the best by a long shot and white averaged about 80 from memory against his peers.

the next year he was rushed in the state side and he went OK, without being stunning.

His bowling has been average, but his career bowling average is about 33/34 for a leg spinner of his age thats pretty good, don't forget mcgillas CAREER first class bowling average is 29...and warne's is NOT that much better (harder to bowl in Aus for leggies than OS?)

white i reckon will be a 40 plus ave batsman and about a 30 ave bowler if he continues to develop as he is, putting him in a class field of all-rounders.

he'll be a geniune all rounder who can hold his place in either discipline, like say kallis who aves test batting about 50 and 30 with the ball...

the sooner Cammy can get some 'internation' experience the sooner a replacement for warne can be groomed for 2005/6/7!

Dare I say it, but we're coasting to victory.

These blokes are seeing the ball like a beach ball.

Hussey is in awesome form, 157, striking at about 90, whilst White is providing exceptional assistance at the other end.

GO VICTORIA!! :D

The fact that they're prepared to play out two and a half overs for one or two runs at this stage speaks volumes for their clear-headedness. No need to panic now.

Safe, conservative cricket, way to go! That’s all we have to do at the moment. Sensational awareness from the batters, the game is easily winnable, so no need for anything un-rational.

I wonder if S.waugh will invoke the tactic used against NZ when it looked like flemings crew would beat us last year and get nash to bowl a foot outside the leg stump and dare the umpire to call him wide.

(also used by the brits, generally on the first day of the first test match, when they lose the toss)

i think those fumb duck pommes play for a draw and pray for a win.

SL should have whipped then 3 zip if rain hadn't intervened.

No surprise with Cam White, his brain is his best asset.

Fancy a 20 year old leading a state team to such an imposing record.

I await the naysayers finding something to complain about.

David Hussey isn't known for his rational approach to the game.

There's a twist left yet.
