O and M 2011 Season

I don't expect Myrt to win, but I certainly won't be writing them off. The self belief they would have gained from last weekend could have a bearing on the result, particularly given the belting Rovers got.

I do expect it to be a competitive match, which will be enough to leave Saints fans happy. But jeez, what will the town be like if they win this one?

Was at McNamara today and if the Saints learn to play 4 quarters of football they can definitely play finals:thumbsu:

2 from 2, can't get better than that.

anyone go to Yarra today? wtf happened?

Myrt a possible finalist is a big call, but I actually agree. Cossignani is an absolute gun - a lot of Jamie Allan about him I reckon. And the way they set up out of half back through Ryan and Corcoran looks really good. Some good forward options, but still one or two genuine on-ballers short. Overall you can see the hunger they have, just a matter of getting the fitness and consistency into their efforts.

oh there is no doubt it's a ridiculously big call after where they have been but as they say, two wins in the bank is better than none.

they need everything and i mean everything to go right though.

wang rovers are in real strife. i've seen them twice now and they have been very, very ordinary in both games.

as for Myrt, they have already won as many games as most thought they'd be lucky to win all year so it's a tremendous result.

Harley Ryan = gun.

Coombes would be rated as one of the best players in the comp if he played for Albury/Wang/Yarra etc. dead-set freak at times... reminds me of stevie j.

no idea what Yarra's deal is but going on everything so far, give the cup to Albury now

Yeah it's weird - there was only a goal in it, but you have to say, even allowing for different levels of expectation, Myrt looked a much better side than Rovers. I thought Rovers' biggest issue would be lack of forwards, but it was their lack of pressure, which has been their biggest asset the last two years, that cost them today. They are in big trouble.

What the hell happened to yarra?

And Myrtleford, wow

I went and had a look at yarra and lavy and to me, it appeared yarra looked short of a gallop and they ran into a fairly committed and determined lavy side.. yarra looked a bit heavy and slow today.. but im sure they will improve as the season moves on

Didn't watch the game, but I think Rovers might really struggle this year. Have lost a lot more than they have gained player-wise. No Silver, Sessions or J Hill means they have no recognised forwards, and taking Sam Caruso out of the engine room leaves a big hole. Will be heading over to Myrtleford this weekend to see how they go against the Saints - could be interesting.

Those Faiders have really lost the plot. Leading well after the first quarter and then all hell opened up. Kicking sideways, backwards and up in the air.
No wonder they are called the FAIDERS.
I think they'll be closer to the bottom rungs than the top ones this year. Bullies for the five!!

So you saw the game?

Would you say the raiders were bad more so than the the dogs were good, or a combo of both?

Blah Blah back for another year of Knocking.

Raiders started on fire, ran out of puff against a determined Wodonga outfit.
They only lost by 14 points so wasn't a flogging by any means.

I must say Brent Ohlin's performance after kicking his goals was disgraceful, a grown man running around like a 10 year old, if he was my son I would toe him up the bum.
Good effort on kicking the goals but no need to carry on like an idiot..

That would be Brent kicking the goals!!!

Is Heath playing this year or is it basketball for him???

Can someone from Rovers please update me with the whereabouts of Boofa Naish. Is he still a Rovers player? Or has he moved on?

As I haven't seem him amongst there best players or goal kickers so far this season.

This has to be some kind of joke right? He is a very passionate person and it was great to see him give it to the Raiders supporters as i'm sure they would of gave it to him if he missed one or two of them goals good on him. For you to lable it disgraceful is very strange with the only act that was anywhere near disgraceful in that match was that Raiders bloke getting suspended for a week for striking. Bulldogs wanted it more and a bit of passion shown was one of the main reasons they won this game easily in the end.:thumbsu:

No its not a joke.

I said, good effort on kicking the goals but in my opinion as a spectator, spoilt his performance by his antics.

He may well be a very passionate person and I don't know him personally.

But If a player runs around like that after every goal then they are usually tagged as a smart ars....

And Yes, Wodonga were the better team on the day and deserved to win...

May I ask what team you support. I see most Bulldogs games and that is just the usual celebration for him no matter who they are playing is well known for it gets the team up and about but I can see why it might get on some peoples nerves esspecially if he kicks a bag

Yeah, I reckon it may not have been the celebration that irked Raiders supporters, but how many times he did it !;)

Not back for another year of knocking those Faiders just stating the obvious. They are no good. Have surrounded themselves with Nth Albury and Lavington crocks even at the match committee level. Could not even beat the bottom side. Hard to see them winning another game.

You are always knockin them.
And to say 'They are no good'... The team is full of alot of young kids who just want to play football. They might not set the world on fire at the moment but they will improve.
You seem to have some sort of problem with the Nt Albury crocks we got. But don't take it out on the team. Get off there case.
