Oh golly gosh. Wang are playing the kind of footy that would suggest they think they're top Sh*t. Fancy getting beaten easily by Rovers and Myrtleford. Switch on Wang, just because you pay lots of players doesn't mean you win games of footy. If they did what they were obligated to, and payed their twos players, then their list would be full of home grown talent... Some food for thought. Neave playing brilliantly in the Ovens and King and would be a perfect half forward for a side that needs some attacking options. When will Wang learn. #losers

I don't think a bunch of 18,19 and 20 year olds that make up a majority of their list are thinking they're top shit at the moment.
Their two's are paid, as for paying 'lots of players' isn't that the same as everyone else in the competition?
Neave was also playing brilliantly at Wang last season, i think it was a good move for him to be honest.
I can't seem to identify where all this hate is coming from.
Wang to make the finals part of your multi? just relax a bit.

What a strange post! Wang had lots of news coverage early season for having 19 of 21 players all via their 3rds! How home grown is home grown. The 2 odd balls were C Zane and Grossman, both of whom had senior football history prior with wang. Grossman possibly played far more games (senior) for wang than any other club ? 4th or5th year at wang?
I do hear of wang 2nds and borderline seniors getting big $ offers to play o and k , and wang not being prepared to match ! For good reason.
Also paying lots of players? I would presume all senior players get a stipend. Bigger money maybe Newton (assistant coach) and grossman. Don't think the Porter bros. Cleland ,Leitch on BIG $.
You might also find that myrtleford at full strength will match all comers bar an in form Albury.

I think you will find the only teams paying players less than wang would be corowa and rovers and probably not by much. Wang lose good young players every season because they cannot match the money from the O&K but they still have lots of blokes on the list who are playing for significantly less than they have been offered to leave.
 
Agree that Mrytleford have been very impressive the last couple of weeks, if they keep that midfield together they can play finals.
 
The hate towards Rovers was just a little poor for mine , so I thought I'd weigh in to the debate with Maggies deficiencies. Clearly the hate was coming from a Maggies supporter.
Gaston, Cobain, Carps, Wilson the only ones paid over base rate I hear.
Anyway, I'm still holding on to the fact my boys ( Corowa), can climb back up the ladder! Scrapping the twos won't help though , poor comment from one of our own.
 
I think Myrtleford deserve some credit. Solid season so far despite loss to Albury and Rovers (cant seem to ever beat rovers at home). Dale is a massive inclusion for them and adds another bow to the midfield, they are young, taking the game on and also have 5 VFL players who are currently not in the side. Wales is the only regular missing from the VFL, though if the can qualify King, Robinson, Brett and local boy Sharp all currently playing for Werribee then going deep into finals is a real possibility. The issues they face is depth and inconsistency that comes with such a young side. Murray to win another Morris
 
Eye on the prize hit the nail on the head, Wang having probably highest number of home growns (throw in Van Berlo who had been at wang 4+ years)
Id say O'Keefe, Dylan Stone and Matt Smith would be well above base Nescout.
Cant agree move Big M. Myrt are the most impressive unit i have seen live this year (havent seen alb or dogs yet). Play some sexy footy, barely miss targets and kick goals from everywhere when they count. Will be scary once they do hit full strenght.
Not sure Murray will win the medal but would have been infront before this weekend. Not getting any younger but certainly not losing anything either.

I overherd him state that having a young family and comitting time to play footy was getting hard. Bit of a blow when the young blokes need some experience in the midfield.
 
Witnessed something special yesterday, young Pie Joe Richards kicked 11 goals in just his third game. Kept his feet and used his skills on both sides of his body really well. Will be the last season he plays in the country leagues for 20 years if he works hard and stays grounded.

Just a few notes. Is it just me or that every time I go to omfnl to get results I get 2015 gf result! Is that just arrogance ? Maybe the 2016 result could be put up instead!
Also the inter league . Good result. Even better if omfnl play gvfnl next year at footy and n.b. At wang, only place . Under lights.
 
Any injuries out of saturdays game??? I know there wont be many on the magpie front hey macgyver
 
Ok guys i know the tiges are going to win it but does everyone have to be that depressed that nobody posts on this forum anymore??
