To be honest didn't think the back six did too bad after the first quarter - I think they need to give up on Waite as a key defender - good on leads, but gets beaten too often man on man - he is very good when he gets to zone of and play loose - reads the play well - Thought we really missed bower, he would of had McPhee i think - but the irish did okay on the poweder puff lucas - he hardly did anything all day.

It might be time to try Austin at CHB, return waite to CHF or even play him like richo - as a floater forward or back on the wing. Also showing how much we are missing Walker and his ability to play on the smaller marking forward.

Just quietly in the den of night - I was slightly disappointed that the offensive game of Russ, Army and Carlos seemed to go missing today. Guess it was the pressure of the ball coming out of the centre creating a very defensive mindset

I thought Russell held McPhee fairly well but, and Carlos limited Lucas to one goal.

Setanta has been very good the last 2 weeks, but i stilll get this nervous feeling every time he kicks or handballs. still not sure how this experiment is going, i hope it works because i really like his passion!

I think his biggest obstacle is confidence rather than footy smarts. When he is confident he does all the right things as he is playing on intuition. I would play him off a back flank and encourage him to back himself. He has taken very few marks this year and is running far less. Against the Dons he was all at sea right from the start. In my opinion he looked nervous and restricted in his reaction times. At one stage early in the game his opponent marked about 40 mt out with Setanta about 20 mt away just standing there.

The guy has great ability and has played enough footy to know what to do on the field. It is his panicking that makes it look like he lacks the knowledge.
