Blair Hartley said today we haven't spoken with the management of Ben Jacobs.

Intimated he seeks to trade our pick 9 for GWS's picks 12 and 13. Or, use it as leverage in further trading.

Very good deal, especially with all the talk of you guys trying to poach Tyson.

The trade period has been unusually active this year so I'm happy for a quiet news day and a chance to shake the cobwebs off the old time-honoured BF tradeweek joke

Six hours, nineteen minutes, right ascension, fourteen degrees, twenty-two minutes declination... no trades

:D

Yer, you could see that being a huge hindrance to any deal we try with GWS for rest of this year. Maybe we could assure them that we won't poach Tyson next year? I guess it depends how many pick GWS are going to use? If it's 4 then they'll package 12 & 13 to the highest bidder.

After the flurry at the beginning and without knowing FA compensation until the final week, this middle week will be very quiet I think.

Glorified snore fest.

*shuts down internet...waits 2 minutes, 'better just quickly check again in case any trades have happened'*

That's my week in a nutshell.

if gws was looking to make a move like that i would hope port look into it. a move of pick 7 to 12 and 13 could suit us if we still value a good midfielder as being still available at that point.

gws pick 7

port pick 12 + 13 + gws 3rd rounder to north for greenwood to port.

dunno whether they would go for that or whether port would either since we need top end talent and if we really think a good good mid is available at 7.

how would they pull that off. their first live draft pick in the second round will likely be pick 35-40 after compo picks.

It's Essendon, don't you know how their trading works, Spud + Hack + Delister = First Rounder from another club

Agreed. I doubt it's a likely scenario for us and would only be offered if it went past the bulldogs, port and lions first
