OUT: Harris

I don't reckon he will play.

Looked extremely proppy on the TV last night.

I would have thought Harris would have been more than slightly useful V Brisbanes midfield, but anyway.

I think the reason why they dropped harris, he was on for one hour and only had 5 posessions not really good for a man in the middle.

He,ll get his chance dont you worry about that.

On for an hour? Must have missed about 40 minutes of that.

I thought he got his chance mid-year and nailed it. Then came more bench time, an omission, a quasy game, then ommited again.

if the selection committee are soon keen on dropping harris, then why not bring in smith?? i strongly believe that a fully fit smith would offer more than a half-fit david king. at least hope that smith is in the 25 and makes the trip up north!!

EMRG: S.Motlop D.Morrell D.Harris

doubt there will be any changes though........interesting to see boomer named on the bench

I think any1 would find it hard to play well if they got molested every week by a purely defensive opponent

I think that S.Motlop being first on the Emergencies is a good sign. If King does miss, maybe Shannon will get a game?

I would say, considering he was dropped earlier in the year, after some good games, and the same last year- the chances of Shannon getting a game are small. Feel sorry for the bloke (But I do drool at the prospect of Motlop, Motlop, Wells- and next year Davey, playing together.. Motlop, Motlop & Wells would be enough to drool about:D)

Makes sense from a structure POV I suppose, but Harro would be very stiff.

Sav gets 1 more (said that for about a month).

Saverio is one good game away from another year of football, but thats not the problem right now, it's our midfiled, and the fact that there is no room for our youngsters. And if I was in Laidley and the boards position, I would have made the same changes probably, even Morrell in to stretch Brisbanes defence, though all 22 would be stif to be dropped [even Clayton, hasnt played badly last few weeks].

The big factor right now is Harris, now I and the coaching panel would prefer Harris play 100minutes in VFL than 40 in AFL. It's much better for his development to run out an entire game. So when the oppertunity comes up [injury, suspension] Harris will get his chance, but right now there is too many people fighting for the one type of rover, as we have seen Smith cannot get into the top 25 let alone the 22.

Im pretty happy about the list named, great to see Motlop on emergency, must be doing well in VFL, and had a kick up the ass from his brothers performances. If the rumours are true and King doesnt play, Harris will come in, because he will be able to play more game time. Though Laidley isnt like Sheedy, and ussually names the correct team on Thursday unless the weather turns around.

On the Harvey bench thing? That means nothing, the 22 players is what is important, he probably wont even start there...

Watched Boomer off the ball at the game last week, every time there was a stoppage he seemed to be stretching, almost favouring one leg. He was running OK carrying the ball, just when play was stopped he didn't look right. I think he's still carrying an injury from earlier in the year. Could explain some flat games recently.
