Being in Newcastle, sweatin buckets after another show, fell in a heap and tried to reminisce(sic) with band mates and crew about last night. Just...quite...can't. With all the runnin around out back didn't get to yab on to many of y'all, but i hope to write soon of some vignettes backstage. Spoke to Sigrid Thornton today who was mortified to not be there as she was working in Sydney, also a call from Rick Aylett..will tell all when i get 5. Thanks to all who made it such a night. Reading the crap in the press today and hearing of that bullshit Ch. 7 coverage is a kick in the guts, but hey, we know what's going on. We were there right?
Had a brilliant bag on with Big H, Drew Petrie, Spud, Leigh Brown, and o course Arch. Was too much.
**** i love this club.
Dean, Boxy...thankyou.
Hearts to Hearts, Rogers.

Looking forward to hearing more, Boner! :thumbsu:

Was Leigh Harding there? My partner said he was, but not the most reliable guide to the list of any club that isn't Collingwood.

Leigh was due to come along but did not arrive with the others. If he did turn up, he was on his own and much later in the evening. I certainly didn't see him.

The cab driver thought i was a NM footy player when i told him we were trying to save our club.lol.After that, i had a little snooze.

I was buggered. I only slept 4 hrs before getting up for work at 5:30, finishing at 10 then going to my other job at 5 and finished at 10. Knackered to the max.

Don't take up drinking booze then, GR. If you thought you felt bad when you woke up on Friday, wait till you wake up with a massive hangover:(:(.

I hear you GR!! bed at 2:30, up at 5:15, worked from 6 till 2, home for a bit of a nana nap, then off to the other job 4 til 7!! slept like a champion last night:)

I wish I had known that Mrs. TOD was at the gig. Would have loved to have met her.

No doubt however that she is a wonderful lady and takes after her Mum.:)

mrs. TOD was there and travelling nicely:thumbsu: I was a little bit luckier than your own good self Horace and got to meet and converse with both TOD and Mrs. TOD!!:thumbsu::D

Me too. Up at 5.30 Friday morning, plane to Sydney, back in Melbourne about 13 hours later, then 90 minute drive home. I was still buzzing enough to drag myself to the gym, and when I got home from there I still had the energy to read about 600 BigFooty posts. I am still buzzing. What a night!

Jesus Christ, i had a hit of golf late afternoon and by the 5th hole had broken out is shocking sweats and was ready to walk off the course. Most lacklustre, pathetic round of 9 holes I have ever played in my life. I got a 9 on a par 3. It was embarrassing.

Nice stamina roobear.

Man.

Off the chain. Just off.

Was just an awesome night and made better by meeting some of you posters such as Lidge, Kanga-DE-licious (Seriously, you remind me of an Australian actor, cant work out her name), Northbhoy (Tony Soprano?), Pharro (Haha, what a suit, respect), kangalover, Arden and others.

But man, honour to meet the "Trio".

TOD, you are a star, superfreak, thanks for letting me hang mate, made my night. Had a good 10 minute chat to your wife, shes a beauty aswell, top people.

Joseph, JOSEPH1, man this mofo, how much shit did I spin? sorry mate, but fcuk I was in awe and also intoxicated.

Last but not freaking least, The Zippa, er Zebra ;)

This guy is the King, I owe you mate, you're a deadset champ, next time we meet up, my shout.

PS: Zebs, black sambuca sucks anal.

Big ups to Damien Barrett, truly is funny and witty.

This guy bleeds North and actually gives a stuff.

To the poster who said that he kept on saying "Where is the clubs opinion? why are they silent?", he was saying this to me aswell.

Mark Stevens is in our corner aswell guys, top bloke.

Like I told yas, my shout next time.

EDIT: How the **** did I forgot Arch and Bones?

Never met, heard or even listened to his stuff, not a huge rock fan as some would know, but his shit was awesome. Thanks Tim, you've played a huge part.

And Arch, whatta man, whatta man, whatta man, whatta man, whatta mighty good man!

That would never happen, as i don't drink.

Nice stamina roobear.

For those who met me and are surprised that I even know where my local gym is - I only joined 2 weeks ago, so shut up!

And yes, it has given me boundless energy. But I honestly think it was being in the middle of the roosistence that kept me going all day yesterday. :thumbsu:

Can't say I'm surprised at this - you met me (and I didn't meet anyone) and were clearly up for a sociable evening!

Rachel Griffiths, maybe?

Now that you come to mention it. And for those who met Mr Kangalicious and who remember the band Spandau Ballet... actually I might just stop there before I get in further trouble.

Awesome photo's mate.....Great to meet you and thanks again for the ticket :thumbsu:....An awesome night for all, which i am sure will be the first of many. regards, Paul

No problem Paul, it was great to meet up with and others from the bigfooty community. big thanks to all who made the night what it was. you are all legends. hopefully the images can be used in some positive way to help the cause.

long live north melbourne

Was down for work and had to go to a work dinner but managed a couple of hours at the gig. Highlight was the reworking of Rose Tattoo's "We can't be beaten" - absolutely fantastic. Tex was magnificent - a feral Jim Morrison and Tim Rogers deserves his own jumper number.

I have just posted photos from the night at http://blackshadow.com.au/?p=106 and they have been sent through to the organisers so hopefully they will be up on the roosistence page in the near future.

Once again well done by the organisers, the performers and all those who showed their support.

Don't know if this has been asked earlier but will a DVD of the evening be made? Would be great for all those of us fortunate enough to be there but also for those that could not make it. It was one rockin' night!!:thumbsu:

Sadly music publishing rights across all of the artists involved makes a DVD release unfeasible. It has nothing to do with the artists themselves who would probably licence their performances without a fuss. However the song publishers are never so generous, particularly when you consider that a number of the songs were cover versions.

Pity. Thanks for that.

Check these out guys. I'll have them up at the Roo-Sistence website as soon as I have approval but for now, check out the great shots of June on stage as well as Tim ripping up the Gold jumper among other specials.

Brilliant photos blackshadow. I was standing behind you most of the night, and after the Wrights when you were scrolling through the shots on your camera, that was me looking over your shoulder. I was hoping some of them would make an appearance here!
