Without trying to incite bedders and/or punts, a couple of the draft watchers are noting he's a bit one dimensional and not great by foot.
IMO, I could see him falling into the 40's or 50's on depth and once there you are hostage to the specific needs of the individual clubs.
I know he's AFL academy but is he really showing much more than Anderson a few years ago? He's also a noted gym rat, how much is that size and strength papering over skills?
If he doesn't show obvious improvement on last year he might be nervous come draft time
What would incite me in that ? draft watchers ?

Both seem to be very much gearing up to be either late second round or mid third round selections.

Can we afford to use open list spots on that type of player though? If we only had 3 list spots I'd pass on both and hold one for May, he's a legit main draft chance... IMO.

Doesn't seem to be happening but I would love to get some key position players out of the academy at some point. Every academy kid who has made it has not been key position. In fact I don't think we have even drafted a key forward from our academy.

This year, May and Cleary as Cat B would be a steal
Next year Ned Hawkins as a big bodied mid, Cochran as a KPF.
