Or could just be the fact he is on holidays and back in Yarraville with family and friends. o_O

I know, I was was just saying that he's obviously happy in our western suburbs compared to Boyd in Sydney's western suburbs.

Ahh dam Boyd to dogs pretty much not going to happen now ?? has anything further happened today from yesterday ?

No one really knows, but with all other major trades done today their is still time something could be worked out by the deadline.

The fact that there were no posts for over 40 minutes until you asked this question provides your answer.

If anything's happening it's behind closed doors and they are keeping unusually quiet* about it.

Without flaming me merely for my club choice, what do you believe is an equitable trade for Tom Boyd?

The only insight I've got is that of the people who choose to hop over to the GWS boards, so I just wanted to see what the general mindset was here and reading through 67 pages is a bit much.

I'll get the ball rolling, and from our side of the fence - a straight swap for Griffen just doesn't work, but it continues to be brought up, is this due to the fact that you don't rate Boyd highly, or that you believe Griffen still has a lot to offer whichever club he plays at?

Id happily swap Griff and 6, other might want a late first back or a player.

Dead set, you cannot be serious!

Griffen and #6 for Boyd and an early second round pick (or player equivalent) is fair value in my view. I think we'd probably end up agreeing to Griffen and #6 for Boyd if that's what it took.

Staggered that some think Griffen alone for Boyd is fair.

Similarly staggered that some thing Griffen + pick 6 is fair. Griff is surely worth more than a 5 pick upgrade!!!

For me, middle ground would probably be:

GWS give: Boyd
WB give: Griffen + pick 25

If that is unpalatable for GWS (which it might be as you may have no use for pick 25), it would need to be something like:

GWS give: Boyd + Stewart + something?
WB give: Griffen + pick 6

Cheers for the quick responses, was just doing some canvassing and Griffen + 6 seems like what most people are happy with, but the 2nd Round pick will be tough now that we shipped 19 and have tied up our later picks on Academy players.

And yep, I was 100% serious

Would be pretty fair I think.

Realistically, I couldn't see us giving up Stewart, because he would be almost essential if we were to lose Boyd - especially playing without Patton for this season.

TRADE him just not to GWS

They are basically saying to is we can take your players when they contracted but how dare you try to take ours.

Folding I ten now pretty much allows any team to come in and pinch who they want and then their manager can say "you let Griffen leave why not my man?"

Thy have been told emphatically that he wants out and we have given them a fair deal and they still say f$vk you

So we must not deal with them under any circumstances now unless Boyd is inclided

agree 100% except for the bolded, what if they offered something else massive instead?
