A major point of feedback we've taken on board lately relates to the clutter on the board which we're keen to reduce as much as we can without unfairly stifling discussion.
It's a fine balance and we're doing what we can to try and please everyone.
What's wrong with discussing the list? Absolutely nothing. That sort of discussion is encouraged.
However the way the particular thread was framed is very narrow and will inevitably lead to discussing the exact same topic in multiple threads. We want to avoid that as much as we can.
We have individual player threads where that sort of discussion is perfect.
We will have a list thread which will be more generic discussion as we have every year. No problems with that in time.

Well they are going some way to balance that out by recruiting Giles, Cooney and Gwilt.
But you're right - Heppel's contract would have cost them huge bucks.

I started one of our days of xmas threads on the Geelong board. Was annoyed by a rolleyes response from a Cats supporter, and was about to chip him about it. Then I looked up at the top of the page ...
Occasionally my page defaults to the Cats board. That may be what happened to you.
