Putting aside the disaster from last time he had a go, can Hird actually coach? He seemed to be the front man with premiership coach Bomber Thomson doing the grunt work last time around. Wouldn't have him this time obviously.

Not sure I see anything with Hird to indicate he would be successful.

They are running out of candidates.

If “grunt work“ is a euphymism for something, then yes he was.

Port Power supporters seem to think we have some crippling cap problems and they’re doing us a favour by taking Dunks salary off our books. Where did this narrative come from?
It’s been peddled on the main board for ages. It’s the simpletons that just see a few “big”names like Bont, Macrae, Naughton, English and assume they all must require 1 mil each to re-sign. They fail to account who has left/leaving and also that we regularly start players like Gardner, Williams, Scott, McNeil, Rourke, Cordy, Vandermeer, McComb etc who would be on very little.

If you all want a laugh go look at the Dunkley thread apparently its a 50/50 toss up between him and stars like Ryan Burton and Ben Keays

"Not even close to as bad. We got beat by a better team today - it happens. In truth most of us were surprised to get this far.

I literally havent been to a game since we were robbed of our flag in 2016. Never will."

The fact is the swans finished 2nd on the ladder and we finished 7th. Even if the umpires did favour the Bulldogs (swans dreaming ) they should have beaten a side that finished 7th on the AFL ladder GF day But the Swans didn’t beat a side on GF day that finished 7th in 2016 You ask why ? Because history now shows you, the Sydney football club have a history of not turning up on the big dance day. The end

Also the Swans really only had a purple patch in the second quarter where they dominated play, the rest of the game we were controlling it pretty comfortably but just weren't putting pressure on the scoreboard.

Saints poster re Cordy:
“FWIW my son in law Bulldogs supporter reckons Cordy is extremely frustrating but thinks their poor backline doesn't help.
Thinks he is the best field kick at the Bulldogs.”
I’m guessing he’s never watching him try and kick over 20m even his goal in the GF was a helicopter

Nobody can genuinely think that. He’s in our bottom 3. Bottom 5 at best

Come on seriously, he has been a loyal servant to the Bulldogs, a premiership player who played a massive role in us getting there.

I only wish him all the best if he goes, and if he stays, think our re-jigged backline will function better next year.

Someone can believe that Cordy is the best field kick at the club but that doesn't make it true. He's close to the last person that I'd want kicking it.

I was sitting directly behind (Cordys) far behind post for that kick. It started outside Cordys near behind post and somehow curled 10m left to right in 25m. No ****ing idea how it just happened to apex at the perfect point, but thank Christ it did.

Was a HORRIBLE kick.

He has an awkward style, so did Will Minson, so does Libba! But they are surprisingly effective.

How about we pay Zaine a little respect on here? He played a critical role in delivering the flag we'd waited for for so long. Always a BullGod,

zaine cordy was a great role player in the 16 premiership campaign will always always be a soft spot for him
Goodbye and goodluck Zaine
respect

I respect zaine’s contribution to the club and his role in my favourite sporting moment ever.

Don’t respect his kicking ability much

And now an opinion to the contrary that suggests dale, Daniel, Bont, Libba etc is better is “just an opinion that holds no more weight than any other”

Kind of like my opinion the world is round holds no more weight than that of a flat earther.

One of the all time great calls (old thread on another board was bumped.

On Cam Richardson v Isaac Smith before either had played a game (wider discussion was about Atley v Smith)

Richardson is the better player now, much less in the future.

End of story.

Most who have been around the traps will identify the sheer nuffy arrogance of the poster right away.
