There's more to the Oliver story regarding his seven week hamstring injury earlier this year. For weeks Goodwin and Richardson swore that 'Oliver would be right to go next week' only to have him miss again. This was not an 'injury' more a discipline or 'other' infraction... Other clubs should be warned, stay clear if you value culture...
I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot barge pole.

Ginni's only 20 & he's made one big blue.

And I don't think JDG's issues were even remotely similar to Oliver's which seems to require daily monitoring.
Clarry’s supposed issues sound massive compared to JDG and Ginni. We were almost each break thinking what else is Jordy going to do next?

Just saying we’ve had our players do some stupid stuff too. Even our “Rat pack” stories back in the day.

I like how they word it as demands, it’s pretty much the minimum expectation you’d have for any half decent human being, the guy must be a piece of work
I’ve heard from someone who used to play schoolboy footy with him (and staunch Dees supporter) that Clarry is one piece of work. Allegedly of course 😬

Of course we could go back in history and bring up all the bad boys & inappropriate behaviour from all teams..

..but we're in 2023 where clubs have lots of support, psychologists, etc and here we are talking about an experienced, highly credentialled 26 year old adult man having to move in with the captain & his family to monitor his behaviour.

You have to admit he & his lifestyle must be really out of control for it to get this.

Has this been Clarryfied yet?

Who? Which players aged 25-26 have had to live with the captain to monitor their behaviour?

I think Maxy would roll a bloody mean spliff, whereas I think Clarry probably rolls how he kicks. So it doesn't seem strange to me.

How the hell does that work.

"Hi Dear. I've got some news. You know that tosser from work. He keeps ****ing up. So he's going to live with us. We'll watch him"

My favourite Oliver moment was his response to a tweet when he was drafted, taking the bait when someone referred to him as being that guy with the 'rough lid' or 'busted head'.

FFS, it was a throw away line on what might have been.

Oh thats fair. Was baffled last year when Melbourne thought they had a big coup in Grundy. Was never a forward
Anyone could have told them he was never a forward. But the idea that was sold to him was that Gawn was happy to play some forward..

that didn't last lol
