I know Dogs traded for pick 4 for potential bids on Croft but can someone please explain this to me.

I know points are needed to match too but wouldn’t you want be a lot further back in the pecking order when matching?

Or not enough points later back in draft picks?

Croft won't get a bid that high. They get to use pick 4 and then get Croft with later picks when a bid comes

Mackie is the biggest flog. Was as a player , now as a List Manager. Theres a difference between standing your ground and just being utterly out of touch.

Geelong is such a collectively irritating footy club. Arrogant, overinflated egos and very pleased with themselves and absolute pricks at the trade table.

Geelong don't want to overplay their hand given North and Hawthorn are able to pick him up in the pre-season draft.

For North he becomes a McKay replacement and Hawthorn chased him prior to him nominating Port.
